Time dilation, bi-location, and seeing eternities between the seconds...
    #28547062 - 11/17/23 08:13 PM (2 months, 9 days ago)

Did anyone of you ever get the experience of time dilation and seeing eternities between the seconds...?

Look up the idea bi-location, it's a phenomenon I've called "simultaneous dreaming", where you are in two places at once. Everywhere and everywhen. You see through time, between time.

Has that phenomenon happened to you?

In my recent weed trip, I experienced at least the conceptual understanding of this. But I'm curious if anyone has actually fully bi-located? What was that like? Can you "experience" that memory when you "return"?

I had severe bi-location on a Salvia trip..

I was both a blade of grass.. and a being laying in bed..

During the ending of the trip when you start projecting someone stepped on me with a big boot when I was grass..

I had some of that years ago, a vague memory and it was a minimal glimpse. But I think it can be visualized and just now I associated it with an astral travel practice - I'm both here and outside... As mind can multitask it can bilocate. For me it's 'mental' but there are reports of some being encountered physically in multiple locations, yogis etc.

'Between time' reminded me of a meditation that can be done with sound, music, anything, ambient sound of nature - listening intently and penetrating the gaps between vibrations say, can serve to change perception.

Were you both having the experiencing of being at the same place at once?

This phenomenon fascinates me. It's sort of my theory on Reality, that Reality is simultaneously experiencing itself from different aspects of itself.

Vaguely I wrote at first - memories of experiences come back of being in different places, not so much being both here and there. Also for me has been once in a while the expansion, not being at another place but taking all the space though limited, for example, the walls of the building became as light within.

We know the implication that, well, specifically Advaitic type, it's not just that consciousness spans creation, but that creation appears within consciousness.

from ACIM-
"12. This can occur regardless of the physical distance that seems to be between you and what you join; of your respective positions in space; and of your differences in size and seeming quality. ²Time is not relevant; it can occur with something past, present or anticipated. ³The “something” can be anything and anywhere; a sound, a sight, a thought, a memory, and even a general idea without specific reference. ⁴Yet in every case, you join it without reservation because you love it, and would be with it. ⁵And so you rush to meet it, letting your limits melt away, suspending all the “laws” your body obeys and gently setting them aside."

Definfinitely.

In my first ever cyanescens experience last week, a metaphor/ motif recurring in the trip was that of the eternal one distributing or 'grinding itsself up' into the many for maximum surface area so as to absorb more efficiently the entirety of experience. In the same way a drug can be ground up to increase surface area for better absorbtion of the goodies...
Swift as a dream and fleeting as a sigh.

Wow!!!! What did it feel like to be at multiple places at once? Are you able to remember the experience fully when you returned? Are you sure you bi-located?

In my last shroom trip, I felt like I saw eternities between the seconds, like it was a "time between time". Like, in the time dilation, entire narratives and worlds were experienced, but when I came "back", it was as if no time passed at all. Strange...

Oh, I haven't experienced bilocation- I was responding to the part about time dilation and trippy interpretations of passing time.

As you mention, "the time between time" as well as the depth/ extent of narratives able to be experienced in relatively short time, is quite a common occurance during psychedelic experiences beyond a certain level, AFAIK.
RGV quite often talks of the mechanism at action there.
Experiences where I feel like my perspective is fractured and having multiple viewpoints at once, yes, and out of body experiences but never like I am ACTUALLY existing equally in multiple places at once... Again, AFAIK.
Even in those situaions mentioned there still feels like a main or central point the experience is 'happening' or being percieved from, anything else eluding to bilocation I've always been able to attribute to imagination being amplified by the psychedelic, meditation or something along those lines.

A journal entry that fits what we're talking about here, from about 2 years ago peaking on a couple hundo μg of LSD and some sativa:

--'August 12th. I had been reading (looking at the pictures...) about Egyptian mythology and some stuff about the creation of the cosmos in a space book.
The section about Atum ejaculating the Universe into existence seems odd despite having heard it before, and I start to see him as a flickering kind of overlay on the Pillars of Creation image in the space book.
As I finish my vape and the pages become all but incomprehensible, the calming repetative nature of ambient music in my headphones is more and more hypnotic. I leaned back on my makeshift bed, pulled my eyemask down and place my arms across my chest.
The first shimmers of hazey blue gave way to powerful blinding white, then yellow as if I was gazing directly at the Sun.
The perspective began to zoom slowly out and I realised I was looking at a mayfly, laying its eggs into some moistened corner of dried cloth which is wrapped crudely around a body floating on a small barge down the river.
The perspective keeps zooming out, but on a fixed spot as if it were an FOV adjustment with a light edge/ vignette distortion as you'd see on a fisheye lense- the entire scene filled with increasing detail. Visions of the time are overlapping, chariots creating huge dust clouds, groups of golden Egyptian women lounging around pools of water with small ceramic vessels, a marketplace bustling with activity.
Eventually, the FOV had retracted to the point where I was viewing the Earth from above- the pale blue dot- and then began to zoom back in.
This time, however, the view branched off temporally and I rushed back through the atmospehere all the while seeing/experiencing in first person viewpoint a load of different memories from my life where I had experienced deja vu.
It were as if I could be dropped back into any of these lucid experience and would be continuing my life from that point going forward. Standing by an electrical junction box playing with friends aged about 6, out in *REDACTED PLACE* on a frosty night carrying my guitarcase, on a school trip running through the woods carrying an orienteering map.
The connecting factor of every 'memory' seemed to be simply the feeling of deja vu accompanied by me stopping what I was doing and thinking "EH?!"--
At this point I sat up 'IRL', feeling rattled, pulled my eyemask up and looked to the time on the song. Realising the fact this experience must've taken place over around 2 minutes, my natural, involuntary response was to shout "EH?!" '

I don't reckon I was in Egypt but at the time it seemed very genuine/ 'true' and I thought I may have ended up having to relive my life from any of the 'deja vu savepoints'.
As I said, time passed and I attribute it to vivid imagination + great LSD.
Funny BrendanFlock mentioned being a blade of grass on salvia, I once came round reassembling in some blurry green place with lense flare on a heavy trip and remember thinking "Ah, of course I'm a dewdrop!" which I felt at peace with, but I wasn't being a dewdrop AND a guy, just a dewdrop- dangling.
Happy to report I wasn't stomped by a big foot as Brendan was.
