My First Grow. Albino Penis Envy.

This is my first grow. I started in a grain spawn bag and injected it. After noticing the first clump i mashed it and this speeded up the process tenfold. Then I proceeded to mash it a couple more times once i saw that every part of the bag was evenly being colonized. Once the top layer was 70% colonized, I transported to my monotub. The day I started with the grain bag was 10/25, kept it on heated mat the whole time as this seemed to make the progression speed up quite fast. Transported to monotub on 11/10 and so far this is my progress. Will be casing soon once it's ready with gypsum water cause I just wanna go crazy on my first grow. So we shall see what happens

I'm a bit confused...
You transferred your grain spawn to a tub when you realized it was 70% colonized? Was it an all in one bag with substrate in it as well? Or was it just grains?
What does casing it with gypsum water even mean? When will it be ready for that? What's the purpose?
Just from the gypsum water thing I think you're getting some info from some people who don't have your best interests at heart so be careful friend.
Looking good from what I can see though

I started in a grain bag of a proprietary blend of hydrated nutrient rich organic millet and wheat berries which has been sterilized. Then it was becoming white quite fast so when the top layer was about 70% white I transferred it to a monotub with manure-based substrate. The gypsum water is just a different approach. It's not gonna hurt it so just would like to divert a little.

and I'll be casing it with coco coir. Then misting with a 2 litre spray bottle with 2 grams of gypsum powder.

RogerRabbit said: Gypsum contains both calcium carbonate and sulfur, thus it tends to keep the pH near neutral, preventing swings as the metabolites try to push the pH down. We add lime to make the casing layer inhospitable to competitor fungi which are less tolerant of a high pH than established mushroom mycelium. Calcium carbonate or hydrated lime is not used to counter the effect of the metabolites. As said above, that's what the gypsum does.
Use gypsum on substrates such as compost or horse manure, but don't use lime. Save the lime for the casing mix, where you should use gypsum and lime together. RR

Well you are going to need a LOT of luck to avoid contamination from spawning uncolonized grains, especially into a manure substrate. Not much anyone can do to help you at this point as there ain't no going back from where you're at. All you can do now is wait and hope.
So I'll just say good luck and start here next time : https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28501530/fpart/1/vc/1

😲🫣 Damn. I can only hope it goes well. I’ve been running air purifiers through my rooms well before I intended to grow. So this area is quite better than most. But hoping for the best outcome. Contam would just be disheartening at this point.

So you exposed grain that wasn't fully colonized to open air? That's a recipe for contamination if so.
Most of us don't even mist any more, let alone with gypsum water. Misting when it isn't needed is detrimental. Like you said though, adding gypsum to your misting water isn't going to hurt. Try getting your tub dialed in to the point where you aren't having to mist often though.
I'd recommend keeping to posts that have been made in the past 5-10 years or so. Roger rabbit was a good dude who advanced mycology tremendously, but he said a lot of incorrect things or stuff we have figured out isn't necessary. There is a lot of hilariously bad information the further back you go on this site.
Take the common advice of always having something else in the works to heart, especially if you really did spawn uncolonized grains.

Will keep yall posted on the following days. I bought a fish air tank pump to transport fresh air into the tub once it’s ready for casing. Since I won’t be around much to keep opening the bin for FAE. I will also be supplying light from the simple full spectrum red and blue lamps. For 6hrs a day. This is all just a test for me. I dont want to starve them of light nor do i have natural sunlight available for them indirectly.

Will be trying to get max 3 flushes out of them. Will be drying then dehydrating at 55 degrees celsius for 8 hrs for long term storage. Hoping for a good amount of weight if I get that far.

That tub doesn't have holes in it? Looks like a fancy bought one so there should be holes you can just leave uncovered to allow fresh air exchange.
Air pumps and fanning are both things we tell people to stay away from since it is so easy to dry the substrate.
Differentiating colonizing and fruiting conditions is also unnecessary. Pretty much all of us just stick the spawn and substrate in a tub with a few holes in it and leave it alone until we get mushrooms. We never starve it for fresh air.
Just trying to help you out for your next grow by the way. I really hope you see success on this one.

The air pump will create an avoidable situation where you actually need to do more maintenance to keep it from drying out. Shoebox and tub teks are designed so you can do virtually nothing except add spawn and substrate. Ideally you don’t need to open the tub (or do much of anything) until harvest.
For smaller tubs look into shoebox teks, which the majority of folks here use “off the shelf” without modifying/drilling. These can be had for a couple bucks a piece. No pumps or extra gadgets required!

Funny thing is i actually just realized a couple days ago i left those small holes exposed without covering it with the micropourous tape it came with. I did cover them afterwards but that freaked me out.

Well if your tub has holes that are covered with micropore tape, it is already technically in fruiting conditions since it is getting fresh air exchange. It might not be getting as much as it needs for when the pinset comes, but it is getting air.
You can just remove some micropore tape to increase fae when you decide to. No air pump needed.

Also it would be great if someone would let me know when they see pins and I can take the lid off to add the casing. I’ll be adding pics every couple days. Thanks a ton

I didn't notice it in the first pictures, but what are those black blobs that look like they are sitting on top of the sub?
