it`s mycelia. When you see little brown eyes staring back at you it`s pins.

its under a light in a fish tank..the kit said it would begin to pin in 7 days...should i be concerned

puscle and new shroomer, i guess im wondering, is it normal to see mycelia on the peat moss before the pins pop up?

Yes, that`s what we want. You must be patient. Chances are the shrooms don`t know they`re on a 7 day schedule.
Continue with a daily misting of your casings, not to much, and 2 or 3 air exchanges per day. Stop the mistings as soon as you see pins.

thanks guys..still hanging in there..no sign of any pins yet  :shocked:
will keep up the misting and air exchange as you said puscle.

he has been using luke warm spring water to mist it...still no pins and doesnt appear to have that frosted look like it did last week...still doing air exchanges...should i try cold shocking?

appears as though the mycelia is growing at an incredibly slow rate..still misting and exchanging air 2 times daily..any helpfull suggestions are welcome.

i've got the same problem at the mo,ment with a casing.
it was cased, then deep scratched, then cased again.
this things been growing for 3 or 4 weeks with no pins.
getting real tiresome.
i'm wondering if the 50/50 casing can have something to do with it?
good, strong growth. but no pins.
the p.h was ckecked in the casing mix and seemed o.k.
2 other trays have pinned twice each since this was cased (with a different casing mix) IT LOOKS LIKE IT SHOULD HAPPEN SOON?
I'M HOPING THAT IT WILL FLUSH BIG BECAUSE IT WAS SO SLOW HAPPENING?

glad we are not alone...this is so dissapointing...my friend already ordered all the supplies to go with a different tech...he'll try the 1/2 rice, verm..in the mean time, he just hopes and waits
