Elon musk agreed to buy Twitter on a whim. His original plan was to buy a seat on the board of directors. Twitter changed the ownership rules after musk had bought 9% of the outstanding shares and denied him a seat. He got mad and said he would buy the entire company at $44. Twitter immediately agreed, knowing that was a very high bid. They signed a contract that would penalize musk $1 billion if he backed out. Musk almost immediately started to equivocate and look for ways to get out of the deal. Eventually twitter took musk to court to force him to honor the contract. Musk saw the writing on the wall and bought out all the shareholders at $44

Right.
And Joe Rogan just eats this shit up man. It doesn't even make sense, what Musk is saying about San Francisco... and twitter..
I really hate the glorification of billionaires.

I think he really believes it. Unfortunately Joe is a get along guy doesn't push back nearly at all about anything to anyone. So if Joe would've said something like: So you buy Twitter, you introduced buying checkmark for 8$ and then giant sponsors lose billions of dollars because there's fake accounts with blue checkmarks, pretending to be Eli liliy for example saying they're going to make insulin free and they lose a bunch of money.
Do you have any regrets about that? Or Adressing the elephant in the room and say something like what compelled you to rename Twitter X? Because even when you talk about it, you call it X/Twitter, it's a vocabulary nightmare to change sending out a tweet to sending out an X and it seems like absolutely no one is excited about the name change so was that just for you, do you think you missed the mark? That kind of stuff.

Elon Musk thinks he is the hero of a epic saga spanning the entire universe.
That is his whole worldview. The universe is a story and he is the main character.

I suspect his gf had something to do with it. I think they named one of their kids X... or some shit like that.

Essentially that video says that the left has had their time in the limelight, most people didn't like the way the world was becoming so they stop the non-sense.

Yeah I'd say their kids name was his lady though. One of them is X-AE-12 . Once he was asked how X-AE-12 was doing and he said who? The reporter said your kid X-Ae-12 and no shit he actually said. That sounds like an email password.
Yeah no shit! It's a god awful name much worse then blanket or blue ivy or something regular stupid like that.

Grimes and Musk seem to have different ideas of how to pronounce the name. “It’s just X, like the letter X. Then AI. Like how you said the letter A then I,” Grimes said.
Musk, meanwhile, told podcast host Joe Rogan: “I mean, it’s just X, the letter X. And then, the Æ is, like, pronounced ‘Ash’... and then, A-12, A-12 is my contribution,” he said.
Musk also pronounces it pretty wild if you ever listen to him say it. He says it like a singular word. So if someone just said the letters, he's prolly like

The AE were meant to be merged... like in some foreign languages.. They weren't allowed to use that, though.
Personally, I think it's almost a form of child abuse, like naming your child Adolf Hitler, or something. In Michigan, we have laws against putting numbers in your kids name, and using certain names (like Adolf Hitler).. It may seem like government overreach, but I think these laws are a good thing.

Hopefully Musk won't be too involved in raising them. They would certainly turn out to be a bunch of megalomaniachs.

He has 10 kids and goes on interviews constantly and runs something like 3 businesses I think it's safe to say he doesn't spend much time with his kids

My personal experience with rich people shows that the nanny raises the kids, usually.
They all say it's perfectly okay because the nanny is only there to help, not to raise the kids.
But as a former kid with a decent memory, the weirdest little things are what I remember, not the big planned events. The nanny is there for the weird little things. The parents taking an hour to hang out with their kids is the big event.

Well said man. It's the everyday mundane family time that makes people feel connected. Meeting up for special events is something you do with friends, or maybe extended family, but that doesn't create a strong familial level bond, and it's not the important stuff, really.
Back in slave times, there were house slaves that did a significant portion of raising children. When slavery ended, some of the families were really attached to the slaves, and I've read some really weird letters between former slave's and the slaver families, as a result. It's almost like the families didn't understand at all what they had done to those people.
