Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with postpartum and microdosing to help with that. She is also breastfeeding so there is that also. Thank-you everyone for any and all information. It is very greatly appreciated.

Probably not a good idea to take drugs while breast feeding… I’m not an expert, but that just seems like a really, really bad idea.
Ask a doctor.
I’m a guy with no children, so I can’t really relate on that level, but if I was a woman breast feeding my child and I was depressed then I would try to search for natural ways to ease the low moods such as socialising with friends, exercise, healthy eating.

Thanks for the reply, she is doing much better now without any sort of dosing with all natural therapies. She does want to take mushrooms it's just still not in the cards for her until she is done breastfeeding. One option is to use up some of her stored milk (frozen) and have some time for herself. From everything I have read I have gathered that mushrooms could stay in her system for up to 72hrs. That would be a lot of milk pumped and discarded. We are Leary on it even with those guidelines so I am pretty sure she will just have to wait until she is done breastfeeding completely.

My partner is pregnant and we've been curious about the same topic. Look up a group called "mushWOMB" they seem to be doing some research and gathering stories of women who have microdosed during & after pregnancy.

It says that on that mushWOMB website that the lady who runs it, “Mama de la Myco”, is trained in the arts and gender+sexuality studies… not someone I’d trust as a source of information for taking medicines while pregnant.

Honestly things have gotten hella better with her mental health so there really is no need. I know she would love to have an experience soon though. We have a ton of frozen milk saved up in the freezer that we probably will never use because she is over producing so, I think she will take a break from feeding baby soon for 4 days and just pump and discard so she can have a little fun. From all the reading I have done I think I have established that the alkaloids will stay in her system for no longer then 72 hrs. I am thinking if we give her a little extra time as a buffer she should be in the clear. Again we are very hesitant as baby absolutely comes first so we will see if and when that happens. I mean really she could probably feed frozen milk for a week just to be safe.

That's helpful for us about the alkaloid time, thanks for the information. Also glad she's doing much better. Wishing you all wellness!

This is a very common curiosity so no shame in considering the possibilities.
The tone in your wording says you are being cautious and I very much appreciate that. Respect.
Since there is little scientific info on the topic, I suggest processing with caution and trepidation, which you are already doing
Stored milk is guaranteed safety.
If you're curious, I suggest doing a dry run: see if the baby respond well to frozen milk for a as many days as you can (4-7 days?) to see if the baby will eat. If it won't then refrain from the idea completely. Maybe try again in a few months, and if the baby will be satisfied with frozen milk then maybe plan a nice time for yourselves, if you feel so inclined.
Glad you are doing your homework and props to you both for reaching out to the community.
As a personal favor, if you decide to give it a trial run, please report back so there is at least one case of anecdotal evidence for others to consider on their journey.
Much love to you both and your families.
