Since Disney has obtained tremendous value from the public domain, knows how important the public domain is, and is firmly determined to never contribute anything to it. hidenseek1 said: im gonna be making a strawberry cake for halloween, every one liked my blueberry cake, but the requested i make it with strawberries
which is cool, cause i suck at baking , i dont think ive ever successfully made cookies or muffins in like the last year, unless i use a store baught mix
heres the awesome recipe
Quote:
Ingredients (Topping) 1 cup (250 mL)packed brown sugar 1 tsp (5 mL)ground cinnamon 2 tbsp (30 mL)melted butter
Ingredients (Cake) 1/2 cup (125 mL)butter, softened 1 cup (250 mL)granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp (5 mL)vanilla 2 cups (500 mL)all-purpose flour 2 tsp (10 mL)baking powder 3/4 tsp (4 mL)salt 2/3 cup (170 mL)milk (1%) 2 cups (500 mL)wild, fresh or frozen blueberries
Instructions (Topping)
Step 1 Stir brown sugar and cinnamon together in small bowl. Add butter; stir until blended. Set aside. ---------------------------------------------------------
Instructions (Cake)
Step 1 Lightly grease and flour 9 x 13-inch (23 x 33 cm) baking pan. Set aside.
Step 2 Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer until blended. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until blended.
Step 3 Stir flour, baking powder and salt together in medium bowl. Add a third of flour mixture to egg mixture; beat just until blended. Add half of milk mixture, beat just until blended. Continue alternating flour mixture and milk until both are incorporated into batter. Add blueberries; mix batter gently by hand just until combined. Spread batter into prepared baking pan. Sprinkle topping evenly over batter.
Step 4 Bake in preheated 350˚F (180˚C) oven until toothpick inserted near centre of cake comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes.
This cake is especially delicious made with wild blueberries. ------------------------------------------------------------------ For a nut topping, replace 1/3 cup (75 mL) sugar with 1/4 cup (50 mL) all-purpose flour, and add 1/2 cup (125 mL) sliced almonds or finely chopped walnuts.
OMFG I LOST THIS RECIPE AND I COULD NEVER FIND IT AGAIN, NOW I FOUND IT HERE LOOKING FOR A PUMPKIN PICTURE I TOOK, ALL HAIL LORD GOPHER
It was called blueberry newfie cake, I googled for days last year trying to find it and no avail
Hmmm one batch seemed to not fill up a 9x13 casserole dish so I doubled the recipe.
Pics in an hour when it comes out, I used raspberries with walnuts topping

This is the rub I'm using on spareribs, which flavour liquid smoke should I use, I will not be using BBQ sauce as my friend is allergic to tomato, I will be cooking them in a pressure cooker and may or may not put them under the broiler after

Should I use water or chicken or broth in the pressure cooker, usually I would always go chicken broth, but with the rub, and the liquid smoke, I wonder if adding chicken broth maybe too much different flavours
