Has anyone put desiccant packets inside their dehydrator with their fresh flushes? Would it aid in drying? Or it make no difference? Self-defeating?

I put used desiccant packs in the dehydrator to restore their moisture holding capacity, but it won't do anything to speed up the drying of fresh fruits that happen to be in the dehydrator at the same time.

I would be very surprised if it actually sped up the drying process at all.

I think if they absorbed any moisture then it would be moisture that was already taken out of the fruits, as the packets would be taking it out of the moving air (if it was still humid enough in there), only to be releasing it back into the moving air and out of the top. Might actually slow the process?
