Shrooms and ADHD - Benefits?
    #28368690 - 06/21/23 12:34 PM (7 months, 4 days ago)

Hi Everyone,

First, I'm new to the platform and relatively new to hallucinogens but have recently harvested a batch of, supposed,Golden Teachers and planning a trip for this weekend. I've tripped on Truffles before but hoping these caps will bring a bit more oomph to the table.

My question is this, I'm curious if anyone has had success with treating ADHD like symptoms with shrooms? I searched the site and haven't found much info connecting these two elements.

Shrooms + ADHD = ? ...

This weekend, my trip is only geared toward receiving what the mushrooms bring, as with many of you, I have a darker past. Abusive parents, combat vet, etc.. I'm mostly okay with my past, but this ADHD drive me crazy as I forget stuff frequently and not as far along professionally as I would like to be since I always change paths.

Coolio - so yeah, if you have experiences with mushrooms and ADHD, I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Thanks, Mowzer.

Anecdotally, the only part of ADHD that mushrooms help me with is to go easier on myself and treat myself with patience whenever I get stuck.

Thanks for the reply, that is something I am hoping to also overcome as I tend to push myself down. Thanks for sharing that insight.

After a solid trip for a few days up to a few weeks I often find myself a lot more clear-headed and able to focus on things. I don't think it directly affects the adhd, but tripping seems to temporarily reset a lot of the negative thought patterns that my brain is usually racing through... making it easier to be more present and focused

Thanks for the response, yeah I could use a break on pushing myself down.

I have a trip planned for this Saturday, deciding how deep I want to go, I have about 6g Golden Teachers and probably going to lemon tek half.

My only goal is to see what the shrooms want me to witness. Maybe I can learn to be a bit nicer to myself.

If you're stuck in a rut and have been neglecting things way beyond the level of neglect that you know is a problem but do it anyway because ADHD, then shrooms can hit you with that sudden guilt and rush of motivation you need to finally address the things or people that you have been neglecting. Overall I think it is positive for the ADHD brain and acts as a reset. Also try exercising on shrooms (light dose or tail end) or other activities that you want to make into a habit but struggle with due to ADHD. It feels great and I think wires your brain up faster to associate those activities with something positive.

I have found benefits with shrooms and adhd. I’ve never done more than 1.2 grams at a time.

The most benefit I find at that level is the ability to go into a peaceful and relaxed state I can slow down and process thoughts and moments I might not otherwise be able to without the medicine.

Why? Because my ADHD is unmedicated so throughout the day I do not always process and file every thought like I do when I do have my adderall.

Shrooms help me go into a meditation that allows for one massive “upload” and “restart” of my “computer brain” I can better function when I wake up the next day.
