Just stick to a newbie method like the pftek or the mmgg. Both can be found on the Links page at the Spore La.

i think i will probably try the mmgg. however, one question as i was going through it...
i live where the climate inside my living space is typically between 50-65 degrees throughout day and night. i was reading that ideal temperature for your case is upper 70s? will i have to find a way to increase the temperature of my case, or will it just take longer for the mushrooms to begin growing.
in other words, if i don't take steps to heat the case to the 'ideal' temperature will lower temperatures short my results?

find a cheap heating pad and keep an eye on the temperature..as for spore vendors..i dont know about the other places but hawk seems to be pretty damn dependable despite what some of the jealous trolls say..he is a good buisness man..right now would be the time to order since he is all caught up...

correct. your spores may not germinate or take too long, giving competitor contaminants an edge. you want to proced as fast as possible, so get some heat.

For a little extra $$ you can get a water bed heater that wraps on the bottom and up the sides of a tubby. Then you put the temp sensor on the bottom and cover the bottom and sides with bubble wrap. Put a therm/hum gauge in to double check. That way you can set the temp with the controller to the exact temp you want without the risk of overheating the bottom of the jars.
