You can still get meth and fent easily on the streets of vancouver

Vancouver police executed three search warrants Wednesday at psilocybin dispensaries in the city.
Sgt. Steve Addison said it’s part of an investigation into the illegal sale of psychedelic drugs at storefronts.
“We have been clear that anyone who breaks the law by illegally trafficking controlled drugs and substances could be arrested and charged with a criminal offence,” Sgt. Steve Addison. “This includes people who traffic drugs for profit from unlicensed and illegal retail businesses.”
Legalization advocate Dana Larsen revealed on social media that police were targeting three dispensaries he’s involved with.
He envisions a similar path toward legalization as cannabis when dispensaries appeared long before the Cannabis Act was passed by federal regulators. The raid follows a legal fight with the City of Vancouver over business licenses for his dispensaries. Larsen hoped Vancouver would take a progressive stance to enable dispensaries to stay open, but Wednesday’s raid doesn’t appear to move things in that direction.
Daily Hive contacted Larsen for an interview, but was told he wasn’t available.
Police said the three dispensaries were located in Marpole, Mount Pleasant, and Strathcona. Charges will be considered after the investigation concludes, Addison said.
Psilocybin remains illegal under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. BC is in the midst of a decriminalization trial where possessing small amounts of drugs for personal use won’t lead to legal trouble, but trafficking trucks remains illegal without an exemption for a clinical trial from Health Canada.

But I bet nobody puts up a red and yellow "Fentanyl and meth dispensary" sign on the sidewalk in front of their place of business.
Or do they??

I wouldn't know, but in the southeastern US those places are called "Doctor's offices" and "pharmacies."

Guess I probably would. Although the sign doesn't actually say "dispensary"

Does anyone know if they went after any of the delivery services? Or only store fronts?

One rhinestone earring, neck tattoo, holes in his pants. Ok. I'm not beholden to the color of authority.
Why is this person carding me and telling me when I've had enough?

He wants you to know it's fentanyl free. Some people want the fent.

They constantly shout "crack" or "black" or "crystal" to everybody who walks buy which is louder. At least they do in my open air drug markets in San Francisco. In fact, the crack, heroin and meth dealers are much more visible then the few mushroom dispo's in SF.

When I worked security, another guard (pink and blonde) asks whether it looks like he's on crack, which I don't take seriously. People don't seriously ask me that.
He says, no, seriously...
It happens.
All of the low morale jobs in your district are running on it. You will pay the social costs of quality of life, or for escapism. One or the other.
Is zoning and red light areas a good answer for when functional, working junkies are not quite debilitated enough to be institutionalized, but you don't think this should interact with wholesome kinds of business? Like, when they used to have a certain section of the book store behind a curtain?

And just like that the stores are reopening. Clearly Dana Larsen does not give a F ...
Vancouver magic mushroom shops reopen after raids November 3, 2023 - CTV News
Three magic mushroom stores that were raided by Vancouver police are reopening.
The trio of stores are owned by Dana Larsen , who said Thursday that one has already opened while they restock the other two ahead of the weekend.
On Wednesday, the Vancouver Police Department said it executed search warrants at the stores in an investigation into the sale of illegal psychedelic drugs, with officers seizing "a variety of controlled substances."
The stores are located on East Hastings Street, West Broadway, and Granville Street.
Larsen says the East Hastings store has already opened, with the other two to follow, and he'll "try to be better prepared" if police visit again.
Larsen says Wednesday's raids were unexpected, and he was held by police for seven hours before being released with no charges and no conditions. He also said Larsen said his stores have business licenses from the city, with the annual license for the East Hastings outlet renewed three times.
A storefront poster Larsen shared on social media says police seized all the stores' mushrooms, LSD, coca leaf, other drugs and money.
A spokesperson for the Vancouver Police Department, in a statement Friday, told CTV News that anyone found to have violated the Criminal Code of Canada or the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act could face charges
“We took a significant step in the investigation of an illegal drug dispensary that is a concern to many people in our community,” the email from the VPD said the VPD.
Police went on to say the investigation is ongoing and officers will continue monitoring the activities surrounding these illegal storefronts.
“Their actions in the coming weeks and months will be considered within the large body of evidence we have already collected in this case,” the statement said.
