You can now effectively trade ETH for KOIN, without any gasfees, on Koindx !

Holy crap liquidity is horrendous on Koindx at the moment, I suppose on account of just having launched.  I'm seeing a better than 30% price impact to swap only 500 KOIN (and a 96%+ price impact if I trade out only half of my KOIN to ETH!).  I wouldn't mind being a liquidity provider, but I'm not sure how to get the wrapped ETH on KOINOS.

Damn that is brutal. Holding KOIN has been... interesting. No intention to sell now after all these years even though it looks like it'll probably get absolutely murdered by a big BTC rally.

Also please don't nuke the price 96% geokills ser ma famalie lol

Yeah I did see that chainge.finance offered a solution, however I'm always a bit sus about holding bridged assets long term, in the event the bridge gets compromised (as has been a fairly common point of failure).  Further, after looking at some of the limited data from the ETH/KOIN pool on chainge, it seems probable that I would end up diluting my exposure to KOIN and increasing my exposure to ETH, which isn't really my goal.

Thus, I'm going to sit out the LP position for now.  If and when the network matures, I may reconsider.  But given its nascency, I'd rather maintain my full exposure directly to KOIN without the added bridge risk or potential dilution entailed by a liquidity provider position with a bridged asset.

Yeah, they fought against that IRS demand for years, the feds originally wanted 100% of customer records.  It got whittled down to only accounts that have transacted in excess of $20K in at least one calendar year.  I'm also on the hook, but fortunately for me, I paid taxes on all of those lots.

I'm hopeful all but the 2017 boom year I'd be under those valuations. I have never paid a single tax on any crypto.
I stopped heavily trading on the exchange after that year.
So here's to hopefully burning the irs

I'm not sure on the precise wording of the court order, but I got the feeling that if your account has traded in excess of $20K in any calendar year, your entire trade history and KYC details would be furnished to the IRS.  Now whether or not they send you a demand letter, I suppose you could just wait it out at this point, since you'll be subject to penalty and interest whether you pay voluntarily or otherwise.  The one concern with waiting now however, is that with the jump in interest rates, the calculation on penalty interest can get costly.

I would suggest at a minimum, lining up your trade history and cost basis so that you have your house in order if they do come asking for tax due.  As I have advised here in the past, especially for trades taking place on a domestic US-based exchange, it would be folly to believe the IRS wouldn't eventually get their hands in the data.  Now if you traded strictly on some international exchange and/or DEX's, you might fly under the radar.  But Kraken, Coinbase, Bittrex, et al, are US based entities and therefore subject to potential interference from federal regulators as low hanging fruit for the tax man to come collect.

Looks like luck may be on my side. They only have reports available for me as far back as 2018 and I know post that boom year I didn't trade near 20000.
So might just skate by here
