The Gempro. Usually, but not always, ebay has one on auction. http://www.rightonscales.com/web/gempro.htm The company, My Weigh, is supposed to be pretty reliable too.

...Uh. Walmart's about the last place you're gonna find an analytical scale. I'ld be dead surprised if I found Walmart carrying a scale that had anything better than tenth of a gram precision...

> buy a digital scale that has .001 gram accuracy?

That is going to be an analytical scale, which is going to be fairly expensive. I doubt that you will find it in any store, especially not walmart. Your best chance will be a local science supply shop, if you want to buy new from a store.

For something like that, I would buy online... used, from www.labx.com most likely.

Do you really need 0.001g accuracy? If you can get by with 0.01 accuracy, you will save quite a lot of money.

www.balances.com

Acculabs are pretty decent for the price but I've always been partial to Ohaus. Ohaus are just excellent balances.

Here is a good place to see some of those scales with the accuracy you want. Looks like more than I would ever spend on a scale. Some of them have draft guards to protect even a draft from making a reading......pretty damn accurate!

Ever use an analytical scale before?   You -need- that draft guard.  Hell, when you're weighing out hygroscopic reagents, you can watch the scale slowly tick upwards as they absorb moisture out of the air...

It's really cool to be able to write something on a piece of paper and weight the ink.
