This one has been giving me troubles from a few angles. First it was slower germ. Now it's primordia just sitting there for over a month.. along with some Zapos doing kind of the same. Strange though. Everything else in there is fruiting fine lol.

Aka's suspicion is correct, they are hygrophanous. They are still pretty light but definitely changed color when misting.

Those inrolled margins are looking fiiiine though! Curious to see if they mature less convex than what we're seeing.
I’m curious about this too because none of the wild observations on Inaturalist have the convex cap.

Found a few more old pics on another forum that I didn't have here. One tray was here already but these are different angles lol.

This one was never here until now..

Funny what you come up with on an image search. All kinds of people steal your shit. I think this one asked though.. pretty sure. I remember someone did at least.

I came across a pale fruit that I put to agar. Gonna run it soon and see if I can do something with it.

Just spawned my first Jar of these to bulk in shoebox. First Jar was from agar on 10/4. The 2 jars I shot up with LC on 10/14 are almost ready already as well. These were slow on Agar but really fast on grain. Even faster on grain than the Machine Elf Cubes.

Yea I gave the 2 LC jars and the second agar jar that was started 10/9 a final shake this morning when I spawned the first jar. The second jar and the 2 LC jars will probably both get spawned Tuesday as long as they recover well.
And yes Rosco/s Spores

Whoa, whoa, I am just a few hours behind y'all on my first 2 shoeboxes, can I join in on the fun? I don't have Roscoe's genetics though, got mine from a vendor.
It has been a long time since I smelt fresh mycelium, opening those jars was a great thing to wake up to. Maybe not as sweet smelling as cubensis but still nice and fresh.

Very exciting! I was contemplating aligning my next vacation there, seeing all of the mushroom observer activity in the area.
I would be curious how a back cross would perform between the current line, which is a viable cultivar/reliable fruiter, and some wild genes, to give it back that special appeal.

I thought these were ready to harvest and print. Now I think they could have gone longer. Should have taken my own advice. Dehydrating and printing now, so final dry weight for half pint per tray or pint per tub in progress. Still dialing in so not great flushes.
2 days before harvest

Harvest and print day

Misted for second flush

First flush from 1 myco-pint in the bowl and another 1 pt on the paper towel. No wet weight since a lot of biggest caps are printing. Will dry those after printing and add to dry totals per pint.
