Fresh amanita, methods.

So I just went out on my mushroom hunt. I found some really beautiful Amanita. They vary in age. But I wanna grow some in the yard and I wanna make them into tea. Can somebody give me some tips on how to use them properly. And how to get them growing in my yard.
I have some wood chips. Do I need to boil them or soak them or anything like that before I can just throw a piece of the mushroom on some chips in my backyard?

Dry the fruit before making tea in acidified water.  My buddy was running an amanita extraction lab for a company making ectracts where he was developing techniques to increase the conversion of ibotenic acid to muscimol…I’ll check with him if there are any tips that can be passed on to the home extractor.  As far as growing in the yard, maybe blend fresh caps in water with a paint mixer and then spray the resulting spore solution in areas under and around conifers such as spruce.

Thank you for the fast response. I broke off the stems put them into a Tupperware in my fridge. I have the caps sitting underneath some bowls on top of some foil. That way I can get some spore prints. I’m gonna grow some of this in my yard. How would I make acidified water? Just put some lemon juice in the water?

Yeah, lemon juice, and quite a bit….I think you want to get the pH down around 2.  Make sure to dry the fruit first as it aids in the conversion of the ibotenic acid to muscimol….otherwise you you might not get anything at best and just feel shitty/get sick at worst.  When I’ve drank amanita tea in the past, it’s more of an inebriation than trip.  I’m sure my buddy will get back to me tonight with some tips on extraction.

I have zero experience with this but I do remember reading that they need to be baked prior to consuming also to break down some stuff that could be harmful.

You’re describing the process for the tea. Which I have made before. Get a candy thermometer. Bring it to the correct temperature. Boil all of it until it is at the correct temperature so that all the ibotenic acid is converted into mucimol. This is after you’ve baked all the pieces in the oven and slowly poured off all the liquid into this tea. Once the pieces are dried and crispy. You can throw those into a grinder. Throw that into the tea. Once all of this mixture, this brew. Is at the correct temperature. It is now incredibly potent. You don’t know how potent…
I guarantee I would’ve gotten trip balls high off the first batch I made. This batch looks like it’ll be even better. 🥳
Then to round it out. Use some apple cinnamon tea bags.
Then just to add to the Fuckery…
I put all of this into an apple cider bottle.
Looked exactly like Apple cider.
I was scared to do it. Because I didn’t know how powerful my potion was. But I always thought of it as a litmus test for any thieves that try to steal out of my fridge.

After this, I went over to the park. Where I found more mushrooms….
These ones distinctly looked blue purple on the top. I’m not gonna do anything with them until I know exactly what they are.

But there was a large wood pile on the walk over there. I was very disappointed with how nothing was growing on it. Well on the walk back, I stopped by there. Broke off a couple little pieces of the stem of my favorite purple lookin Mushroom. Then flicked those into the pile of the wood..

Later today, the two jars I have of actual Azurecens spores. That are competing with other crap in the jar. I’m gonna just take those and start throwing those everywhere in that park over those wood piles and hope that I get some really good shit.
There are just logs and stuff flying around. I could probably easily make some wood plugs.
If I just hammer those into everything, I just walked by. Next year would be a smorgasbord.😭

I’m getting ready to go and try and make some money so I can get a membership. I’m not sure I can but I’m gonna try.
I’m maxed out. Later tonight I’ll be able to upload pictures.
I’m not gonna mess with them until then. Meanwhile they’re just sitting in the fridge.
Plus, there’s about a Bajillion more of them growing right now where I know where they are and no one else does.
Except maybe the dude who was tripping balls and passed out on the spot I found.
😂
Maybe one of you sat there for a couple minutes.
Covered in these beautiful spores.
I on the other hand, have been spreading Amanita all day!

Man if I had a pressure cooker. I’d be golden right now. I just need to find out how to make my own agar.

I had another member tell me the same thing I think something changed and it doesn’t affect people that already have a membership. I have an upload limit for my images. It seems to move based on the time of day that I was posting yesterday. So I get a daily limit? But it’s also told me that I’ve already hit my weekly limit. If I’m a member. I have no Upload limit at all.

Hell I can still describe them for you though.
Dark blue to purple looking ridges underneath, flattened out, becoming convex as it ages. White stem I don’t see any torn flesh.

The other one is lighter in color. But still seems to have the same blue bruising underneath. Has a thin white stem and you can see little lines in it.
Gray in color.

They are pretty similar. They might be the same species.
Just from different time in aging. The really small babies looked white.

I went out at the perfect time to. There is a whole big mat under that spot I was in. That’s all pushing up mushrooms right now.

Not sure what you’re describing but if I were to describe amanita muscaria, the first things I would say are orange to red caps speckled with white universal veil, white flesh, white gills, white spores.  They’re hard to misidentify…the concern would be mixing them up with other amanita but what you’re saying doesn’t seem to make sense.  There should be no bruising.

I definitely know I got the amanita muscaria’s. I’m still gonna include pictures of those too just because they’re so pretty.
But yeah, these other ones the coloration of them I’ll try and find a picture that matches.

So I actually think they are the same. The one I thought was different. Was just hit with bugs really bad. It just looks a lot more than the other ones with her a lot healthier looking. It’s still possible there a different species. But I doubt it now.

I think for all mushroom preparation this is a main step. Take the head off put the stem back into the Tupperware. Use that to cultivate you can put some wood chips in there or something which I’m planning on doing. Then you put those caps on a piece of foil with a glass or cup over Them. Take that spore print. Even if it’s not a good mushroom . I still can have the spore print.
Plus the sport print is a great way to identify what you got. If the colors red. You know that’s poison.

While the caps are making their Prints.
I’m gonna bring water to a boil. I’m going to have wood chips. Put into it. I’m gonna boil that for about 10 minutes. Maybe lil longer, maybe a little less. Once those wood chips are boiled and sterilized. I’m gonna go ahead. Let the water cool back down. Take a scoop of it out. With a utensil. That’s also been sterilized. I’m gonna put those chips into the Tupperware and just see what I get.
Once I get fuzzy’s, I toss them out into the yard using the same method of cleaning my chips. Then I can probably have Amanita next year.
Possibly some beautiful, mysterious psilocybin mushroom🌞
If I’m really lucky. Using this method of cleaning up my chips. I’m gonna use those remaining jars and see what I get underneath my blackberry bushes….

Later, I’m gonna return to the wood piles. The logs. I’m gonna take some of them.

Later than that, I’m gonna get some wood plugs like you use for putting furniture together. I’m gonna put those into the boiling water. Then I’m gonna put those into a sterilized jar. Then I’m gonna put some of the fuzzy goodness in there with them.

Once those plugs all fuzzy. I’m gonna get a drill. Then I’m gonna go to those random logs everywhere around where I live.
I’m gonna drill holes in them.

Then I’m gonna use my hammer & tao in all of my plugs. Next couple years, this place is gonna be the mush capital of Washington.😤

Gotcha.  Once you have pics, post them in hunting and ID.

My guy says pH 2.3 boiling for 3.5 hours and maintaining water level so as to not drop below 2.3 pH which will stop the conversion.
