Depends on the symptom. The adhd is pretty consistent, the anxiety has been in the background, unidentified until recently, but has shaped a lot of the internal stories I tell myself.
The ptsd triggers are mostly on the highway as my biggest trauma was being rear ended on the highway.
Through my teens and early twenties I thought I had depression. Took a couple different tharapists and certain internet posts that made me realize that was just a symptom of untreated adhd and anxiety.
Ever since I learned that I am much better at coping and find myself a lot less depressed.

What produces the most anxiety for you besides the road? I have an attention deficit disorder myself.
I think the biggest struggle for me in the ADD department. Is having some thing I want to add to the conversation. But when you wait to make that point. It feels really easy to forget what it was. You wanted to add.
I will typically just throw word of what I was gonna add at myself every now and then in my head. While trying my hardest to focus on what they’re saying.
I’ve also been taking some omega oil. I feel like that has helped my memory.
Do you have similar struggles?

On the road the trucks make me mental even when I had a huge powerful caddie STS I felt vulnerable the trucks barely fit in their lanes, they are driven by people who exist on a whole other level by many dimensions, and on some highways, you can easily get stuck between them rolling at 70mph or 120kph and there is no way to see a safe escape route. passing is not always an option, and rolling underneath them is daunting. That kind of thing makes me have road anxiety.
fuck trucks

I completely agree. I honestly feel like those large freight vehicles deserve their own highway. Were their speeds can go way higher. And they would have far less turns. Getting them off of civilian, roads would be a huge benefit to everyone including them. It’s just the cost of trying to do something like that is ridiculous. At this point, it would be easier to just give all the civilians flying cars. And let those big freight trucks. Keep driving around down here on the street.

Man, that is pretty nice looking.
I think they’ve had the ability to make these for probably the last 30 years. I think the implication of having people flying around in the air. Is genuinely terrifying to the government. I think that’s why they’ve been working so hard on the auto driving cars. I think they basically want the system from minority report.
But this thing looks like what I want. Complete freedom. I wonder how it lands. Do you think that uses the osprey system?
Where what projects it forward can turn to be facing straight above the ground. Lowering you gently from any position.
Super cool. Thanks for sharing.

it's VTOL, but when flying at speed, the cabin turns sideways and the long body becomes a wide wing, then it lands and swivels back to function as a wheeled vehicle
kind of nutty.

Revamping the tunnel or train system in the US would be much more economical than either commercializing flying cars or building a freight highway system.

There's quite a few things that I don't really notice until I'm feeling the physiological effects of anxiety, but not many that give me feelings of anxiety if that makes sense?
Maybe it's from being told to "be a man" so often growing up that I never tied the physical effects to any emotional state, but its Like my body will tell me I'm anxious before I feel anxious.
To answer your question my biggest source of anxiety is approach anxiety. I'm eager to meet some potential partners, but stranger danger was drilled into my soul as a kid

I definitely empathize with you a lot. I also have approach anxiety.

Seasonal effective disorder Or SAD
Is a fairly common psychological condition, where the lack of light & the poor weather of the seasons, can affect your mood.
While one of the least talked about forms of depression. It is actually quite common. Especially in my neck of the woods.
Now you’re obviously on this website. I don’t want to tell you to do any drugs for this. It is not something you should just whip chemicals at.
But I would like to talk to you about a treatment option that is not very expensive. While also getting very good results for these people.
Light Alarm Clock Light therapy In light therapy, also called phototherapy, you sit a few feet from a special light box so that you're exposed to bright light within the first hour of waking up each day. Light therapy mimics natural outdoor light and appears to cause a change in brain chemicals linked to mood.
Light therapy is one of the first line treatments for fall-onset . It generally starts working in a few days to a few weeks and causes very few side effects. Research on light therapy is limited, but it appears to be effective for most people in relieving symptoms.
Now, that’s just to stop things from getting worse. If we’re really talking about treatment. We need to change the way you think about the season. Find something you really love about it. And just make something wonderful happen during this time of the year.
If you’re sad that it’s snowing because you can’t go and do your other hobby. Well, it’s time to get a winter hobby. There’s lots of fun stuff that you can do with snow.
There’s also a lot of really fun hobbies that you can do inside. There’s never been a better time to practice your painting. Than when it is dumping rain outside and you don’t want any water on your canvas.
By changing the way you think about that type of year. By giving yourself something to look forward to the next time it is this kind of weather outside. You will find that your depression is gone. And it is replaced with elation and anticipation.
Good day to you. (retreats back into pillow fort.)

The link I put in, that would actually really benefit you.
They’re still trying to decide if it’s a physiological or psychological condition.
Maybe you have a memory associated with the bad weather. So every time the bad weather happens. Part of you relieves that experience. Putting you in a bad mood.

That’s interesting. I have the opposite. Do you feel like you have nothing to contribute? Or do you feel like you’re too scared of how you’ll come across to contribute?
You could also take vitamin D pills. But I still wonder how much those actually get absorbed.

A series of traumas I'm sure. I don't exactly have an amazing history with the ladies. I mean I've had some luck, but I've been rejected by more ladies that excite me than I've gotten with, and was cheated on by the last one that did

Yeah, that’ll definitely ruin your confidence and self-worth. The only way to get that back, though, is to prove that you still have it. You have skills and trades. I’m sure you could show off. Go and flex a little. Don’t get cocky about it. But you deserve to feel like you are good at things. And you deserve for other people to know that. Get into your hobby. Completely dominate it then you can go to a festival or event involving that hobby. Display the work you’ve put into it. Then you will attract someone who is also interested in that hobby.
