You’re welcome inside.
This is a safe place. But with a disclaimer!
I am in no way. Licensed to practice anything. I am not a doctor. You should seek professional help😭🐚! Now that that’s out of the way.
I have psychology experience. I also do dream interpretation but that’s a different thread. I love to teach people. If you’re suffering from severe PTSD or trauma. I recommend this thread. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28504947#28504947
Now how can I help?
If you feel more comfortable, not discussing this on a thread. Feel free to PM me.
If I did a good enough job that you want to thank me. I accept masks as payment. PM for details

Yes, I’ve already shared a lot of my experiences. But I’m willing to share more. I would like to help people feel better. That’s why I made this. Rgv I don’t know why you always come with negative outlooks. Do you need therapy?😜 Because no one‘s holding you captive. You can leave whenever you want.

You’re not a captive audience if you’re voluntarily here. I want you to contribute. But it feels like you’re just throwing Shade sometimes.

This is a great question. Personally With accumulating too many treasures & belongings. At some point, you just have to go through and take stock of everything that either brings you happiness or doesn’t. This is a really easy way to separate the wheat from the chaff. You’d be amazed, how much crap that you have that you don’t even want. Once all that’s out of the way, and you get to reevaluate your collection of rocks. Maybe it won’t seem so bad to take them with you.

I like the rocks in the fifth picture. You have clearly been to rock and gem shows. You could go out into the woods with the first 3 pics to make some rock art.

I would suggest an RIMA but other than that everything he says, is pretty solid.

Is there any sound in particular. Or is it any repetitive sounds? A lot of the time this gonna have something to do with anxiety. Or impatience. Both of those two things can be separate or related in a lot of cases. Both usually come from a core of anger. Not in all cases though. Would you care to elaborate by sharing an example?

(Chuckles) OK I have something for you. Are you familiar with Pavlov’s dogs? So have your favorite sweet hard candy in your pocket. You can never eat it again. Unless you’re experiencing one of those sounds. Then you can put one into your mouth.
Do this every time. It’ll take a long time for this to settle in. But…
Eventually, the negative stimuli as unpleasant as it is. Will trigger a sensation in your brain that it’s about to be rewarded. Thus you will no longer experience an unpleasant experience. Instead, a craving for your favorite candy.
Try that for at least two weeks and let me know if it works.

Same exact principal. I only chose hard candy because you aren’t able to wear headphones at all times. You can usually have a piece of candy as an emergency in your pocket.

I do agree with RGV, it probably goes back to some old memory. Where you tried to crawl over to somebody right as they tried to get a bag ready to go into a garbage can. Something jarring & loud. If you do find out what the original trauma associated with the sound was. That would, most likely make it go away. Example: Something similar happened to someone on a YouTube channel called psyched substance. He was having a wonderful time. Until he heard a siren during his trip. Which caused it to spiral out of control in a very negative fashion.
It wasn’t until much later. That he was re-analyzing the audio to figure out what caused the trigger. That he realized it was actually just the siren. Because when he was four years old, he was in a car accident that almost killed him. Once he realized that connection. He was able to de-program the sirens association. And the next time it happens during a trip. It was not a negative experience.
This is the video. You might find it incredibly educational. If you’re looking for the experience being described specifically. I believe that starts at hour 3.

Completely possible. Maybe somebody got into a fight with one of your parents outside of a car. And then cops had to show up. Anything really.
The point is figuring out how to deal with the stimuli. I think my advice stands. But if you can find the root of what caused it, that’s even better.
Personally, that really dry cardboard paper being rubbed together sound, really bothers me. Now for that one, I think it’s associated with a job I used to have. Because it made my hands incredibly dry. And the paper we used made them even more dry. So I ended up just associating that sound with the sensation of having cracked dry hands. To this day I still don’t like it. 😂

I know what you’re describing. It is something that I suffer from. That’s from living in the city for too long.
Some people just need solitude. When they don’t have it, they get pretty cranky about the noise that they can control. Then lash out at it to try and make it as quiet as they possibly can. This can pour over and make a lot of sounds really frustrating for these people. Because there are sounds that are very repetitive. Will go for a long time. Plus you don’t have any control over when it turns off.
Such as a siren. Or people changing plastic bags next to you when you’re a child, it’s anger. But I think everyone deserves to have some solitude every now and then. If you took a vacation, it might elevate some of this. It’s almost as if you have a certain amount of solitude that you need. Because once you’re out in the wilderness, and you actually have it for a while. It won’t take long before you don’t want anymore. Then when you come back to the city, it won’t seem so bad at all.

Yes, that is correct. How very astute. Men feel more need for control. Thus they tend to suffer from this more in my opinion. Or to quote Psy. “ I learned it from my daddy”
This is deeply relevant to every son. 🤣 This video is about the legacy & true love of a father.

I like that idea.
Do you find some thing triggers the symptoms. Or is it a persistent constant thing.

What produces the most anxiety for you besides the road? I have an attention deficit disorder myself.
I think the biggest struggle for me in the ADD department. Is having some thing I want to add to the conversation. But when you wait to make that point. It feels really easy to forget what it was. You wanted to add.
I will typically just throw word of what I was gonna add at myself every now and then in my head. While trying my hardest to focus on what they’re saying.
I’ve also been taking some omega oil. I feel like that has helped my memory.
Do you have similar struggles?

I completely agree. I honestly feel like those large freight vehicles deserve their own highway. Were their speeds can go way higher. And they would have far less turns. Getting them off of civilian, roads would be a huge benefit to everyone including them. It’s just the cost of trying to do something like that is ridiculous. At this point, it would be easier to just give all the civilians flying cars. And let those big freight trucks. Keep driving around down here on the street.

Man, that is pretty nice looking.
I think they’ve had the ability to make these for probably the last 30 years. I think the implication of having people flying around in the air. Is genuinely terrifying to the government. I think that’s why they’ve been working so hard on the auto driving cars. I think they basically want the system from minority report.
But this thing looks like what I want. Complete freedom. I wonder how it lands. Do you think that uses the osprey system?
Where what projects it forward can turn to be facing straight above the ground. Lowering you gently from any position.
Super cool. Thanks for sharing.

I definitely empathize with you a lot. I also have approach anxiety.
Do you talk too much? When you meet people you’re excited to talk to?
