What should be done to growing area after a string of Trichs. (sp??)

After having very good luck lately, I have been having total losses due to the green crap. What measures do I need to take to eradicate my growing area of possible contamination? The mycelium seems to grow ok for about 8 days than the mold hits. One thing that I may be doing very poorly is after cooking the coir (boiling water on the coir in a cooler) I am not letting it cool down completely before adding the grain spawns.
Also, what measures should I take to fully decontaminate my shoebox's / monotub?
Thanks

None of your measures are valid, your substrate fails due to your spawn.
Some of us don't heat coir, minimal cleaning of tubs, room has had moldy tubs, etc.
It's all about your spawn being axenic.

Certainly not one to argue with the experts here! I also bought some cheap noname coir brand once and had a wild string of tubs trich out.
Obviously donโt know for certain whether spawn or coir and itโs only anecdotal. When I switched coir brands the trich stopped.

I think some conditions may make trich more likely to contaminate your sub. Recently experimented with incubating shoeboxes in a cooler with a seedling mat because I was worried my house was too cold. EVERY tub got trich. I almost threw out my LC. I decided to give it one more shot due to it looking clean on agar. Just had 8 tubs grow fine with zero contams. Every other step in the process was the same, just let them sit out at room temp rather than attempt to incubate at 78.

I am hoping it was due to some bad coir. I bought the same brand off of Amazon but this time it looked more stringy and had some weird stuff in it. All batches with this have failed. Just bought a different brand. I am going to soak all my stuff in the swimming pool for a day. The chlorine should decontaminate, at least I hope.
