My Nkondi, as a Nkisi, most certainly is that. He hearkens from the Bakongo tradition.
Show and tell if you like about yours, and let us learn about our allies.

What's my line? I faced a wall meditating for nine years. All my limbs fell off.

I never thought I'd have a prayer wheel until a friend noticed me admiring them at a Nepalese restaurant and got me one. The yantra is Mercury my kid made.

Scarab

My daughter when younger traveling with her grandma brought this back to me from Egypt. She had it in her luggage, sad moment.

Sorry I got a little carried away posting stuff. Some are more than others in terms of energy and appreciation. If I am attending to them, especially the ones that are on the altar, I consider them as alive. The Shaligram I was just reading of in a Purana, that even drinking a drop of water that has contacted it is moksha. The prayer wheel I use every time I walk by it and have a hand, placed strategically in the house to hit it a lot. It spins mantra outwardly into the house and universe, Om Mani Padme Hum.
I love and benefit from these, but I'd say the most significant hosts or allies to me are mental forms which may or may not have physical representations. Every mantra though has a physical form as it were in letters, which covers a lot, but in use they are mental.

In this moon phase is a period to honor ancestors. There are more extensive formalities to perform which as just as a western dude I don't get to, but from this it occurred to me offer them water from the Shaligram.

Depends on how you define the concept of something having a spirit.
I personally believe the concept to be manifold and complex. I believe objects can have spirit by the intent of whoever created it. I believe objects have spirit through the history of the object. Objects can have spirit from the meaning it holds to you personally. And so on.
In that sense, I have a few objects to have strong spirits, yeah.
We have an old monk's fingerbone that accidentally ended up in my girlfriend's backpack when she did volunteer work at a historical digsite as a teen. The history of said object must be immense.
I have a fossilized, large, flat sea shell we found while at the beach on holiday. I use it as an incense holder that is used during creative processes, be it writing music or prose or drawing.
My girlfriend gifted me a stone with a hole in it, a so called hag stone. Apparently it's supposed to keep evil spirits at bay and looking through the hole would allow you to see fae folk. I personally don't hold those beliefs, but my girlfriend does. Because of that I still believe the spirit in it to be strong because of the intent it was gifted to me with.

I kept an animal skull since 1998 but my dog destroyed it in the last few years. Losing things could cause regression, less is more for the juggling entertainer. The fool being followed by the wolf could be caused by environmental destruction causing a cursed plague or trampling the earth and tortuously treading some form of life “psalm 91” could cause vengeance on the tramp who paid for the revolution of the law wheel reaction of cause and effect causing regret for the tramp that refused right guidance south on the on the path to the road where the naz-gül sought the luxury of accursed items inherited such as hörcrüx “h.potter”. The cat was and still is a familiar spirit though I fear neglecting the sköll i had since my childhood of muladhara and svadisthana - root and sacral maturation and solar-plexus presence of my domestic house-cat inviting me into his sun of poverty has caused me sirius insecurity that I was dependent on the sköll. Driving seeing dead raccoons hit by cars after my dog turned my raccoon skull into a chew toy causes me to doubt my responsibility to this coinhabiting species and the greed and vanity of driving the chariot as sphinx are somehow connected to the chariot as tailed beasts. My wisdom tooth was destroyed and as it said in the bible it ia because of my insividualising wickednesa and abominable action.

These are copper yantras. They can be used for pujas, for gazing (tratak), and just having them in them in the home, especially the Sri Yantra.
This one is for a Ram stotram, a hymn.

This one is the Sri Yantra, also known as the Sri Chakra, in essence the same as the embodiment.

They are also in 3-d and temples are made of them.

Another hint. Maybe a little crankey, but not a crankey Santa.
