My first trip (2g) plus art
    #28488091 - 09/30/23 07:26 PM (3 months, 26 days ago)

I harvested my first grow of golden teacher earlier this week on Tuesday the 26th, 28 grams dried all together. My electric kitchen scale isn't the best (it measures in whole grams) so I shot for as close to the threshold of two grams as possible. I ate the 2 grams with a bit of water around 8:28 AM, taste wasn't bad to my surprise, maybe a little buttery, pleasant but not especially notable.

At around 8:45 AM I begin to notice things at the periphery of my vision are beginning to bulge and contract when I stand up I feel a little off balance but nothing I can't handle.

I check my blood pressure at 8:53 AM it's 115/89, elevated but not too surprising considering the circumstances. The space seems to curve at a distance and the "breathing" effect is much more apparent. I feel nauseous but I don't throw up, I feel hot and I'm sweating but my body temperature is normal. I stay calm and control my breathing. My wife helps me to the bedroom and I lay on my back with an ice pack on my stomach which helps a great deal with the nausea.

I close my eyes and slowly images begin to form. It begins a bit like waves of water reverberating and overlapping forming complex geometric patterns of contrasting colors. The images are fleeting and ever changing, all of them are beautiful.

I saw a checkerboard cave of light orange and dark maroon with walls that moved in peristalsis descending into infinity. I saw vast desert rushing by and a bright red streak of flower peddles ascend into a clear blue sky out of which a thin passageway lead into space adore with shining stars like beads of dew. I saw a white helix of light in darkness and a golden sphere with red and blue fractals dancing across its surface. I'm sure I saw more but these were the ones I remember best.

I tried to tell my wife about all these things but after a while I had a hard time forming words and just enjoyed the trip.

Around 10:00 AM I opened my eyes and found that the light was really bright but after a while I got used to the light and watched the ceiling swim for a bit before I got my wife to help me up and get me a drink of water. Getting up was difficult I felt my sense of balance was out of alignment and my legs felt weak, but I was able to get up and get to a chair. The complexity of the all things in the room was a little overwhelming especially things in the distance. I asked my wife to hand me one of my paintings to look at it and I enjoyed exploring the little details and felt a bit better.

I got my bearings and went into the office and lay down. I listened to jazz and drew and thought about the things I had experienced. I was witness to a theater of the mind for me alone to appreciate; sure, I can try to recreate what I saw but part of what made it beautiful was it's transitory nature. Like a snowflake dissolving in the palm of your hand, something so pure can only exist within its own time. I felt at peace, and I realized that life is about happiness and to be happy you must first learn to love simplicity. We cloud our lives with noise and poison our souls with egos, we build towers out of our fears and dream inside of boxes, it doesn't have to be this way, we have the power to be happy, embrace simplicity find joy in life itself.

At 12:00 on the dot, feeling like I've just about come down off the trip, my wife and I decide to go to a local trail and just enjoy nature. We have a great time chatting about whatever comes to mind and I feel close to her in a way I haven't  felt for years. Everything is beautiful and I just soaked in the atmosphere and was at peace.

When we got back home I checked on my PF cake and saw it had grown since this morning and that too made me happy.

If you made it this far thanks for reading!
Life is good!

this is beautifully written! glad your wife was there too to keep you in check. i used to not like tripping as much with other people but it really does help sometimes and makes my experience feel a lot more controlled and safe.

that drawing is also really cool, the circles that you drew kind of remind me of what i see in my vision a lot when im tripping. they start as circles and then shift into almost like mushroom spores under a microscope and then they turn into eyes. happens almost every trip i have.

glad you had an insightful trip and logged it because you sounded poetic when describing what you saw.

nice variance in the drawing,
a feeling like seaweed in the waves near the shore

Thanks for the kindness! I've been tripping for a couple of weeks now and I've really come to fall in love with the infinite complexity of the universe especially the beauty within life.

Here's some more of art:

For everyone reading this thank you for your time, I hope you have a good day!
