I started 2 monotubs with coco choir. The one is almost ready to harvest and I was looking for some help for a second flush...
I'm a little lost of some of this stuff and was hoping someone can explain the concept of multiple flushes and also answer a couple specific questions i have.
1.) do i want to rehydrate the substrate? 2.) do i want to add more substrate? if so do I actually mix the mycelium around like a blender, place over top?
Thank you!

Yes, rehydrate the substrate.
No, don’t add anything new.

"Flushes" are an abstract concept. Most people are seeking a solid canopy of fruits which all come in at the same time. If you achieve that, then there's simply no room for anything else. So once you pick that canopy, the pins forming underneath will have their chance to fill out. So there's your first and second flushes.
But when it doesn't pan out exactly like that, and you've got a patchwork of fruit maturing at different times, then "flushes" are more just like picking events. Also, as you get into later "flushes," that's pretty much what they end up being. You pick off what's available and wait to see if any new pins form/mature.

This accurately describes most of what my harvesting experience is like too.
