Breaking mycelium too soon.
    #28471986 - 09/17/23 07:16 AM (1 year, 3 months ago)

What can I do if I broke my mycelium too early? Is there a way to know if bacteria got into it? Will it damage growth? Can I let it go another week break it again and it grow okay? I got a bit too excited didn't wait the extra week and broke the mycelium a week early now i am afraid I may have messed up the growth.

If you shake it and it doesn't recover well, it's because it's contaminated/bacterial.

:whathesaid:
It can take a day or two for growth to restart after a good BnS, so have a little patience.  If you start seeing quick-forming condensation soon, not a good sign.

I did the same thing with 3 of my bags after the last bns 2 bags recolonized but one didn't. About to cut them open and fruit them.

So far it looks like it has recover okay the mycelium has grown threw it pretty well but I am concerned because it slightly looks like it might be getting that cobweb look but it's is spread out throughout the bag pretty well so it could just be forming to the side and looking like it is cobwebs bit not. Does moving it around a lot mess it up? I took the bag out of the cabinet to look at it. Apologies this is my very first so even with research I'm still not 100% sure. I should have just left alone.

Those look so amazing. Is there a special technique you use or is it the strains? I get it if you don't want to share the technique 😉 just wondering. Because they look so beautiful
