Hello all,
Glad I found this place, so much information!
Super excited to get into the world of mushrooms! Been waiting ages but have not been able to due to moving house and other reasons but finally, I can start!
First post here so please go easy! I have done some reason and my end goal is to have liquified mushroom concentrate concentrate. I could do with some help with the end please as I don't want to mess the doses up for anyone!
Im pretty much want to know how I go from dried to a liquid that can be mixed (oil-based I think?) that is the equivalent of a full Wonky Bar (5g Albino) which gets you pretty wild. How much died is used and the process please?
So I have the following equipment so far:
I have the following liquid spore syringes with spores inside:
- Albino A+ Spores - 10ml
- Albino A+ Spores - 10ml
- B+ Spores - 10ml
Build a Still Air Box (already finished, followed a guide from the internet, made 4 of them as I have plenty of empty plastic boxes (or totes as they are called across the pond) and a load of spore syringes.
list] Grain Rye Bags 1KG x 10 (will need more based on 2ml per kg to utilize all the syringes? I ordered too many syringes!) What's the best size Grain Rye Bags to go for? If I'm to order 10kg to start with, would 5 x 2kg be good or 2 x 5 kg? Or just 1Kgs? Onto the next part I think is the fruiting with Coco Coir and Vermiculite. This is a more suitable substrate for Psilocybe cubensis at home/garage growing? I know manure is good but not ideal for indoors. Following that I think the process is to either use it wet or leave it to dry out. AS im want to turn it into a liquid to make various treats etc. What's the best process please chaps? Ideally looking to know how to do dried and wet Psilocybe cubensis. Also, say I wanted to make 3.5g or 5g doses, do I just liquify 3.5 or 5g? Would whatever volume that it creates just be as psychoactive? I mean, If I wanted to have the same effect as a full 'Wonkya bar which contains 5g Albino so would my would 5g Albino be in liquid form? I mean I guess it depends on thickness maybe? If you could help me with the process I might get. ba better understanding like you need 7g a dried for the same as 5g in liquid form. I don't want people to have too much. [/list]
Many thanks in advance all.
And like I said, super excited!

Are you asking how many grams of mushrooms you need to have a 5g equivalent edible? That would be 5 grams. Didn't get the part about "thickness". Same principle applies here as 1kg of feathers = 1kg of steel, doesn't matter how "thick" the mushrooms are, you measure 5grams of them you get 5g dose.
If you want to make a concentrate then you just divide the total amount of dried mushrooms that you put in by the final volume after all boiling and reduction and you get grams per whatever unit of measurement you're measuring in.
You don't need manure for cubes, plain coir or coir with vermiculite is plenty.
P.S. better not go spores to grain if that's what you were planning to do. Either go spores > agar > transfer to clean up on agar > grain or spores > BRF puck > water agar > transfer to nutritious agar > grain. The brf puck method imo is a bit easier. Still can't avoid agar altogether though.

Hello & welcome
It's strongly advised to use those spore syringes on agar as mentioned by stroop. You're likely to end up with the wrong mould if you just shoot spores to grain.
In regards to which bags you should be using, bags are notoriously awkward in an SAB & jars are commonly used in their place, however if you're set on it, definitely use 1kg bags so your eggs aren't all in one (or 2 in this case) basket(s).
If you want to make a tincture to distribute into your bars there are lots of ways to do so but I'd recommend a double extraction usually involving boiling your shrooms then soaking in high proof alcohol for a long time then mixing with food grade glycerin, but like I said there's a few methods available online so find which one works for you.
All the best on your cultivation journey & don't be disheartened at any failures, they're all lessons
