The world is false (as opposed to being true) * 2

The world around you is false. This is simply in contrast to the possibility that it were "true." Things are not placed as they are, they do not sit in a true position. It can rearrange quietly and intensely in out-of-body experience. None of it is as it appears, none of it, then, really persists or perpetuates except as a story we tell ourselves amidst models and common sense, but at least we have the witness.

I don't think we should be so convinced of the world's existence at this point, after having had many near-death experiences in sleep (for reasons not to be disclosed here). No, it is a false thing... perhaps only God or love is real?

The same conclusion was reached by Hindu scientists thousands of years ago. I say 'scientist' accurately - they were Vedic scientists, studying a special kind of knowlede, 'veda' meaning knowledge of what is sacred. In the Vedas, they wrote that the world itself was illusion (maya).

They concluded that the whole world was illusion due to the constantly-changing nature of it; nothing lasts and nothing can be held to a fixed point. They said existence was as if one was on a wheel, constantly turning.

Vedic scholars however did not believe that there was no such thing as reality; they constrasted maya with the true reality, the Absolute or Brahman. The spiritual reality is accessible possibly with meditation or prayer or certain kinds of ascetic practices. One can see that it is real due to the nature of it, that it isn't subject to decay or change.

And while you may find these particular notions doubtful in some aspects, or not completely aligning with your view, I wanted to bring a note of it to show how people could've arrived at the idea found in this thread through independent research, and have arrived at the idea in many ways and throughout many parts of history. The idea of the unreality of the world is extremely old, and may be one of the oldest ideas in any religious and philosophical system. Our experience suggests it to us seemimgly naturally, considering our tendency to decieve ourselves in dream.

Thanks for your post.

I have a lot of fun with it on walks, watching the world change in massive and also subtle ways like a controlled trip.

It's either not there or I haven't seen it yet.
