Myc or Mold?
    #28470926 - 09/16/23 09:59 AM (1 year, 3 months ago)

So i read a really long discussion the other day discussing white mold and mycilium and how close they can be in appearance and now it has me questioning some of my older trees I had sent through in the past, as well as some current ones I have growing. I would love to hear you guys just thought your opinions on on these

1. This was a play I had felt like was clean just had tomentose growth.

2..Here I noticed the fuzzy white girl in the center that appears to be separate from either of the aggar wedges I transferred..

3..This was a multi- Spore plate and started off normal but ended up having a few pretty good rhizos show up. The next day when I went to transfer there was a layer of cotton like fluff on top.

4.. and lastly these are some of the fruits I came home to after a couple days of camping. Can't tell if these are just really fuzzy feet or something else?

Keep transfering until things are more uniform. Try less nutrient dense agar, that will help keep it rhizomorphic and easier to spot contams.

What transfer number are those from spore plate?

Crank up the fae on that tub

3rd transfer for Pic one and 2nd for Pic 2. And is that just some extreme fuzzy feet?

First plate should be transferred from already,
Second plate I'd transfer from the colony on the left.
And yes, just fuzzy feet. Need more fae

Is it normal for mycelium to look like it does in my first picture where it's like rhizo with a thick white layer on top?

And what causes this look I can't seem to get my yeti to look any other way?

Thinking I should transfer from the upper right portion where it's kind of going away from that
