Overlay? (pic)

First time caser, this was incubated for 8 days (top layer evenly redistributed so each day no mycelium was seen, and this casing has been in the fruiting chamber for about 3-4 days (last day I took out of the incubator it was slightly less colonized than this). Anyhoo, it's B+, and I was wondering if this looks overlaid, and if so, any thoughts? When I mist the casing a little water accumulates in small puddles (which I heard isn't good) but who knows, maybe its just overhydrated (humidity at 91-92%, fanning 5x/day). I have 2 other casings that look about the same. THanks everybody. [image][/image]

No, it's been in the fruiting chamber for 3 days now (light/fanning/humidity) should I still add a thin casing layer? Am I approaching overlay?

Domey is correct.  You want to start fruiting just as the mycelia spikes begin to penetrate the top layer of the casing.  You have to account for the growth momentum of the mycelia.  I would deep scratch with a sterile fork (very lightly and gently) and then apply a very thin layer of moist sterile casing.  Watch that you don't over water as humidity takes care of that during most of the fruiting.  After the first flush then you can water it.  Get it on a 12/12 lighting schedule and fan 2x a day, keep everything nice a clean and neat and you should be good to go. B+ are very resiliant.
Nice body high too.
