experience? A friend of mine recently recommended a great program with its own Instant messaging, email, forums, etc...all monitored and protected from spam and porn. It has a great friendly interface for children with animated characters and such. http://www.zkidnetwork.com/ ...They have a free trial offer.

I'll check it out, thanx for the info. My 11 year old boy and 9 year old girl have been getting quite a few interesting email ads lately along the lines of "jizz in her face" and stuff like that. They've been banned from their email until I find a suitable child program that will function on my puter.

modify your HOSTS file to block out big name porno sites visit: http://www.filesharingplace.com/supertrickxg/index.htm & download it. it has an option to block porn. this will also block most advertising on the net (not just porn - all website banners, etc.) I highly recommend beefing up your HOSTS file even if you like porn - I never see ads anymore

Does it block emails containing spam and porn from entering my inbox or just block the advertisment that the email holds.

By changing the hosts file, the later. The hosts file is a name to address lookup table... when you make changes to the file, you break the path from your computer back to the spam site.

Understood...but will it still hold a visable text in the subject space? e.x. "Horney sluts await your ****"?

Nope, you'll need either some sort of spam protection or just a new email address for that.

Correct... any pictures/images will be gone, but text will still show.
