I think these are coming along nicely! Could someone chime in and maybe give me an idea of how my pinset looks? Some full pins but looks like quite a bit of primordial knots? No casing layer but I will be doing those on the next tubs I spawn. Thanks, cheers!
That’s looking pretty good, it’s hard to tell without a better focused shot of the surface but I think you may have a little too much airflow or misting. It looks like you’re getting some matting which typically happens from the surface getting too wet then too dry.

Exactly what may be happening then. When the surface would appear too dry I'd give it a Mist. Only when there wasn't any moisture on the surface though, seems every 2 days there wouldn't be any droplets on the surface so I give it a little misting as it seemed too dry. Substrate was at field capacity when s2b. They are unmodified monos, do I just need to close the gap on top more to further restrict fae to keep the microclimate in check on the surface? I just didnt want to choke em out... Thanks again! Cheers.

There's the size of the gap I leave, and another poor picture of the surface. It's hard to get an accurate picture with my camera, but there are almost no droplets on the surface and I gave it a Mist 2 nights ago. I run a fan pointed at the other side of my room at night as well, mainly for me because of how hot my apt gets at night. Thanks again, cheers!

It definitely would not hurt to give that tub a light misting.

Some weird stuff happening in this tub. I suspect that taking the lid off a little too soon dried out the top layer of the sub -- I misted a few times but apparently not enough. A few odd mushrooms.

I guess I'm just letting this shoebox ride and we'll see what it does on a 2nd flush with another round of hydration?

First grow in years. Did commercial growkit -> spore print -> MSS -> pf cake cased in vitro, open air fruiting. Thought these two looked cool.

A below average pinset and grow but I'm suprised I actually got fruit. Started LC penis envy from an 3lb all in one growbag on 7-26. The grow bag never fully colonized but I got impatient and threw it in a shoebox and cased it with some coir on 8-21. I harvested most of them yesterday ( may have been a bit early) and still got about 240g wet. All in all I'm happy considering I didn't think it was gonna fruit at all. I also took some tissue from the bigger 40g fruit to clone. Fingers crossed for furture grows.

 Vader courtesy of Senior Hobbit.
Enigma plin, that was supposedly Jack Frost LC from a vendor, straight to grain slowly doing its thing.
Enigma plin from the plate the one in the jar came from. Gonna put this one on agar and see how it does.

Every time a critter shows up be it a snake or tarantula or whatever my GF is screaming kill it kill it which I respond to her, if you kill it you can pack your shit and go back home. Critters are cool and we are in their space pretty much.

Those albinos in the first pic didn’t come from the Vader spores did they?

They did, the ones you sent me earlier this year. They have been plinning like crazy, These are the first I've gotten this far but a couple plates I still have sitting around have some nice plins in them now I am going to do something with today or tomorrow.
I put a couple to some plates a month or so ago and they really didn't do much but putting them in grain made a difference. Got two jars about half way done right now from 2 fat plins I found a couple weeks ago. Cant wait to see how those are gonna do.
A T3 from 5/21

Thanks again for spreading the love.
