i dont think (as a small business owner) that wages effect my bottom line as much as they do for mcdonalds or target.
and if wages could be lower mcdonalds and target could afford to move into more sectors perhaps (although not likely) effecting my small business.
most of whats left of small businesses are specialty companies that minimum wage doesnt effect. because minimum wage is so far below a living wage that only high turnover companies can afford to pay that low of a wage.
if mcdonalds had to pay a livable wage you'd see more corner chicken places with cooler names than kfc and zaxbys... and youd see higher quality.
again there is no party which is good for small business.

It depends where you operate your small business. Imagine if instead of paying the $15 min wage in New York, you could pay $7.25. Halving your labor costs is pretty significant for a small business owner. If you’re in a red state, chances are minimum wage isn’t much above the federal minimum, if at all.

I'm looking to expand my small business right now and minimum wage really isn't on my radar because I need either a person who is already skilled That I can work an equitable split with as a contractor or I need to train someone in a niche skill. In either case, I'll need to compensate them such that it isn't worth it for them to break away and compete with me.

Just have a consent clause in the employment contract. I'm sure that'll cover it.

I think if you place one of those banned “woke” books in their hand after, you can call the cops and claim Castle Doctrine.
A guy got away with shooting another driver on the road here recently because the guy threw a water bottle at his truck.
If you got enough FOP stickers on your Chevy Silverado you’re basically a sworn Sheriff in n Florida.

You should check out this documentary series on HBO called The Telemarketers.
It dives into the schemes to get people to donate under the guise of “helping cops and their families” but it instead gets funneled to these corporate douchebags and the FOP.
They all but admit it’s just an extortion racket.

I get those calls at least half a dozen times a year. They brought up the fallen and the kids....and one guy even tried to make me feel guilty in the 9 seconds he had.
Another said "I am with the Faterinal Order of Police"...I asked him "with, or part of ?" Dialtone. If they are like other charities, they probably pocket 80% of everything. I will have to check that put on MAX, (why it not HBO anymore? dumbshit)

The best political party for small business owners can vary depending on your specific priorities and beliefs. It's essential to research each party's policies and their stance on issues that matter most to you as a business owner. Look for policies that support entrepreneurship, reduce red tape, and promote economic growth. When it comes to securing your business in the digital age, regardless of your political affiliation, it's crucial to prioritize cybersecurity. Implementing shared 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is a practical step to safeguard your business's online assets and customer data. So, while considering your political choices, don't forget to secure your business with strong online security practices.

Yeah I was going to say neither party is really awesome for business owners or otherwise.

THIS is the fucking problem
"everyone" wants to get rich, and you're a loser if you don't strive to make every dollar possible.
The goal is no longer to have a business profitable enough to take care of one's immediate needs, plan for the future/retirement, take care of the employees (if any) and their future needs, and live comfortably.

I saw my old man chase money, in the end he got it. Retired and after 6 months dropped dead.

I'd just like to pay off my house and at least have something to give my child (future) asset wise after I die. I never wanted to be rich. I don't actually see a lot of difference between being miserable on a yacht or being miserable in a Volkswagen. So personally I am satisfied with owning my home, owning my car, providing for my son, eating good meals fairly often.
The problem, a lot of people can't do those basic things. Not because they don't want it, but because in many ways the system works against them. It is expensive to be poor. You get financially penalized for not being able to afford things. Some people recognize this. I don't think either party is the best at seeing that, but clearly the Republican party loves to keep people poor, except for the rich. If they didn't their states wouldn't be the poorest. The pattern is very clear.
