My meditation process & tips

I was taught how to do this in a dream.
If you suffer from anxiety. Holding something in your hand to play with is advisable. the requirement for such an object is that it requires zero thought. It simply something to play with in the hand. Such as a bracelet of beads. That you can slowly roll around.
You want a completely dark environment. Don’t have a blindfold? Yes you do! Everything can be a blindfold. Just not a good one. Buy one when you can.
So now that your environment is completely devoid of all light. (do your best.) You’ll want to put on music. Very gentle music. Not coming at you. You don’t even want chanting. Just something peaceful in the background. No spoken words. Lofi beats to chill to. Lofi girl is perfect for this.
You want to be completely flat. Starfish pattern
You can just lay down on your bed for this.
At the perfect temperature. Feeling just as right as you can. This will make you feel better.
Now all you need to do is focus entirely on your breathing. While attempting to relax, every muscle in your body.
Everything needs to be slow. Savor it. Much like how when you’re doing exercises very quickly you’re not actually working those muscles. You need to do those movements slowly so that all of those muscles feel it. What I am teaching you is the exact opposite. But the principal is the same.
Take a five second long slow inhale. It’s best if done through the nose. But if you can’t do that yet, it’s all right.
You’re going to hold that for about seven seconds. Or as long as you feel comfortable.
Now you’re going to exhale for about five seconds. Really let that breath leave you slowly. It’s yours. Let it go at your speed.
The whole time if it isn’t already this way. While you’re focusing on your breathing, just go down headfirst all the way down to your toes. And try to just force every single muscle in your body to relax. (Paradox alert!)
You would be amazed at how much tension you hold constantly.
You are ever ready for everything! You work hard. Everyone does.
Now every muscle in your body is relaxed. All you do is focus on your breathing. Nothing else.
In time you won’t need to focus on breathing to maintain this breath pattern. (Paradox warning!) Don’t think about anything! Just let it all go….
You deserve to relax.
This is how you do it.

Diet.
What if a lot of anxiety stemmed from bad bile making way to kidneys and flushing blood stream with a nourishment diseased and that of manner to passing bile out bowels reverberates through body into mind unsettling that peace found?
A doctor once told me, as was asking why need learn body medical science then neuroscience before psychology/psychiatry, Daniel said, because most of all mental disease is reflection of organdisfunction, improper liver function can be acted out by one as mental disease. Makes sense to me completely.
Happy belly. Happy mind.

If you are physically capable. This process will help you. The only thing that limits you might be setting. If you relax enough. It doesn’t matter. With your mind, you can conquer anything…

I always feel like you don’t quite understand what I’m saying.
Nothing is about conquering unless you want it to be. That is not what this is about.
At all.
I don’t even know how you got that take away.
Could you tell me?
It feels like you meant to post this to the thread about Weapons.
This is my thread about meditation.
A completely different topic…

Because you said "With your mind, you can conquer anything…"
Anytime someone mentions having control Red points out they don't have control. He can't help it...

That is marvelous to know. Thank you. He is one of my favorite readers.
We exert as much control as we can. But we are out of control. The planet spins without our permission.

I wanted to address this accusation. That I am part of the toxic gun culture. Which I am not.
I’m not a creep. I’m an outdoorsman. I think you’re imagining skinheads and motorcycle gangs.
Imagine the guy with a backpack on who’s hiking. I am self-sufficient and bring tools with me. To be fair. In place of a gun you could use bear mace. But that expires rather quickly because it’s unstable. A revolver on the other hand doesn’t do anything. Unless I make it.
As long as people respect the gun. They don’t have to be creepy. It just sucks how many school shootings have happened. It makes it feel like it’s taboo to even say the word now. I have wanted to go to a firing range for a long time to do some target practice. But every single time there’s a public shooting. It feels like it is less appropriate to go.
So I haven’t been there in years….
I was raised on the farm. Guns were part of our life. Important tools that we used. They shouldn’t be used to hurt people. I bet you’re in a country where guns are a lot harder to get. Versus how easily and readily available they are here. It is a problem that I hope we fix soon.

Just poking fun about something I can appreciate and also seems true. Whether the semantics of conquering is always or in this particular instance is related to guns, I wouldn't hazard a guess.
...though the term "gun control" might seem humorous in that light.

You’re right. We must conquer control…
Actually, would that be anarchism? 😂

The thing is, guns do not prove you control anything. But if you could control guns, then maybe mind over matter has more than just a glimmer of a chance.
compare children under 7 who die around the world - here is where guns are a big factor, those countries where people cannot afford guns have to find other ways to keep the population in check.
all very logical to me
wait wasn't this the thread where we are supposed to relax and touch our toes?

Commitment to cultural diversity demands the topic be buried.
