Wild Raspberries 2

I've come across quite a few wild raspberry patches this spring on my mushroom hunts. It took me back to when I was little, I would pick a large kool-whip container full of these berries(we called them "wineberries?"), and my grandmother would make the most delicious pie with a made-from-scratch crust. I hadn't seen them much since my childhood, but a few years ago I rented a place, and we had them there. I only ate a few, but it was so cool to see them again.
Well, the season is upon us in the northern hemisphere. The plants I saw last month hunting shrooms are probably nearly ripe. I've learned that these plants can be propagated with cuttings. So I'm wondering, do any of you have these plants growing on your property? Anyone forage them in the wild? Anyone have tips for growers/gatherers of wild raspberries? Recipes for jams, pies, ect? How many wild species are there? I guess I'm just trying to rekindle a childhood interest. If you have something to share on the subject, please do!

Wineberries are non-native, invasive species in north america. They out-compete native raspberry and blackberry plants. Wineberries also harbor diseases that harm native species.
They grow very vigorously and would be easy to propagate. But you shouldn't try to grow them. In fact it's illegal in some states. The wineberry is listed as a noxious weed by both Connecticut and New York where its possession and sale are prohibited by law.
If you want to plant more berries you should seek out cuttings of native species. My favorite native raspberry is the "blackcap" Rubus occidentalis.
The berries are just starting to ripen in my yard. We have bushes of native red raspberries and a white/golden variety (which I think are an asian species).
My tip for picking lots of raspberries: get a container that you can put on a string and wear around your neck. Now you have both hands free to poke around in the bush.

I love rasberries!
I like to put them fresh on dessert sundaes and on breakfast waffles, ice cream and just plain whip cream. Delicious.
Ive seen them in drinks too, maybe make some infusions?

I photograph all kinds of berries and plants, came across some wild Rubus probus(atherton raspberry) today but they weren't fruiting. There a massive Rubus parvifolius (Australian raspberry) bush near me that's about 4m across and 2m tall. the parvifolius has smaller fruits than the probus, and I don't think I've seen parvifolius in the wild where I am.
There's a lot of lilly pillies in Australia and in summer when they fruit we used to pick them to make jam.
The only tip I have is to make sure wild raspberries aren't surrounded by stinging nettles because they can look similar if growing together, as I found out today..
There's a plant called Gympie Gympie, or stinging tree that also has berries, but like the leaves, the fruits also have really painful stinging hairs on them not for eating.
There are three types of mulberries here too, white, red and black, all freakin delicious. Only fruit in summer, but even a 3m tall bush can have hundreds of them, and I've come across an almost 10m one before that could've filled a car with them.

I finally got out today and found a whole mess of 'em!
 six beers later...
I cheated and bought pre-made dough for the crust.
edit, is it possible to identify the exact species from the pic I posted?

I just filled a yogurt container with raspberries on my walk today. Added them to some fruit Salad I made in anticipation of a friend coming over. Later made crepes for dinner and stuffed them with raspberries and a lemon curd dip.
When I was a kid, my friend's grandma used to make us a Finnish dish with raspberries over rice.

Rhubarb strudel sounds amazing. My grandma and mom used to do rhubarb jam most years. I was growing rhubarb but I think I need to move it to a different spot next year because I've managed to nearly kill mine after relocating it 2 years ago so apparently it hates its new home.

A mate has Panama trees on his property as well as red champagne finger limes. It sounds weird, but Panama berries taste just like bobba tea, and it's freakishly true!

Neat! I've never tried them.
I found a ton of sumac that wasn't quite ripe last time I checked; maybe tomorrow, if I remember to check on it before work.

Our bushes are "ever-bearing" : they make two flushes a year. (Don't think that's the right word for berry crop cycles, but you guys get it). Second crop of the lighter colored "golden" raspberries started this week.
