Movies that have brought a tear to the eye

This can be because it touched you, and really made you feel something. Or it made you laugh so hard you cried. Or it was so sad you had to weep. All of these are incredible movies that must be known. Share these films with everyone. Starting right here. This place will be updated overtime.
Amadeus. I’d like to think this is true. I know it is based off of a play. It was an ancient conspiracy theory.
Knives out. The ending.
Shogun assassin series Talking about the series of films. Both versions. But dub is better, imo a Masterpiece
The Animatrix The second Renaissance in particular…
The first Mad Max. “ Vespucci wants his hand back!”😂
Hero With Jet Li, incredibly powerful.
Max Payne. I loved the drug sequences. I also really like the concept of Valhalla.
Antichrist Excellent soundtrack particularly, the one they played in the beginning. They don’t actually play much music. That’s what it stands out so much. Like the colors in Sin City.
Sin city They should’ve never made any sequels. It was such a powerful film. Anything they wanted to add, just cheapened it for cash.
The Truman show
Monty Python and the holy Grail
Total recall 1990 The newer one is trash. “We are not even here.” “Amazing, where are we?”
LOTR original extended trilogy This can literally take a day. It’s even better if you do one a day. It has been worth it every single time. When the little boat sales off into the sunset.
Honey, I shrunk the kids I was young. The scene with the Ant hit me really hard…
Kill Bill! Being a parent looks like an amazing thing
The shining. The most terrifying thing. Is someone you love trying to hurt you.
Glorious
Enter the void
Life in four chapters, the story of Mishima
Fantastic planet
Life of Pi
That first comment reminded me of a fine film.
superstar: the Karen Carpenter story. Performed with Barbies that are slowly carved away to show the ravages of anorexia. Very powerful.
On the silver globe.
This movie is hard to describe. It’s almost worth it’s own post. But it was truly a life-changing film. I don’t think I’d be able to watch it again. Because I wouldn’t want to lessen the experience that it brought.
Cannibal holocaust. “Oh, the inhumanity…”
The master. This one definitely reminded me of my Mormon cousins, a lot.
Dark blood. River, Phoenix’s last film. It was incomplete for obvious reasons. But the Director finished the scenes by speaking the script. While showing you where it would have been filmed. It sounds strange. But when you see it, it’s incredibly powerful.

Does Harry Potter's Horcrux provide background to this obsession?

I believe he was poking some fun at me because of my article about the third ayahusca trip. I hold no ill will. I sent him a message. Pinkerton was just having fun. Although his comments up until that message I sent. Will be completely unrelated to everything he was putting them on. Think about that article I wrote, then read all his recent comments. Suddenly they all make sense.

I was not poking fun at you.
Pinkerton was just having fun.
You do not know that.

Can you link me to the article you wrote?
Pro tip: Slow down on making new threads, dude.

Dear Pinkerton. If those things that I said aren’t true. Then you are an ignorant child. You have been ignored. I don’t care what you have to say anymore. Leave my threads alone. Stop harassing the people on my threads. No one wants to hear what you have to say. A moderator I respect, who will remain anonymous. Told me this about you. “ He is a Muppet.” Think about how you come off. Because you come off poorly. Stop trying to contribute to my writing. You have never contributed anything to me. Leave me alone…. You are not my parent. I won’t take your advice. Feels like most people would’nt I will do as I wish. I don’t need your permission.
Sincerely, Genesis corrupted
P.S. If you think I post too much, then why do you keep commenting on my stuff? Now do the right thing, and block me too. So we never have to cross paths again.

The way you are so hysterical and petulant makes me feel sad on your behalf.
It seems like you are a huge mess.

mind control is an illusion, the best you get is navigation, or being lured to an attraction, or being chased by pests.

made with cornstarch and body lotion (or baby oil)

Recently I watched a couple of Mae West movies that brought a tear to my eye.

The last episode of Band of Brothers when they reveal which old man interviewee is which character in the show. Multiple tears, zero shame. One of the most emotionally-poignant moments in my life.
American Graffiti came close.
Starship Troopers came close when that obnoxiously gorgeous girl who's hot for Johnny dies. Not sure why, but that gets me every time.
I haven't seen many movies. Heroic sacrifice gets me, as does unrequited/unfulfilled love.

Have you ever seen Apocalypse now? Or platoon. Both excellent movies. I believe Private Ryan also got me to shed a tear.
Full metal jacket! Goodness that beginning is strong.

Yeah I've seen all those. But for some reason they didn't hit me as hard. Maybe because I watched them when I was much younger and didn't have the emotional depth/empathy that I have now? I bet I'd find them a lot more evocative now.
We're constantly growing and changing. This is something beautiful psychedelics have helped me see.

When you were a child. You couldn’t understand why anyone would ever do that. Now that you’re a man. You have so much more empathy.
Give em another chance. I watch Apocalypse now fairly often. The final cut is the best IMO. There are a lot of cuts, so you have to be careful which one you choose.
