Water agar questions

I have a plate of blue menie that was 3t that was showing contam still agar mix was 10g agar to 7g LME for that plate. So I did some digging found the water agar thread did as instructed transferred on 8/11 , it's working slow but it is if fact growing clean myc. I tried to get a pic but the myc is very transparent dunno how well it will show. Can I take a wedge now or should I wait? The WA has no nutes for the myc to feed on is that why I am seeing very thin transparent growth?

I mixed up my water agar following this tech; https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27900393

It looks to have colonized nearly Half the plate, yea you can take a transfer.
Water agar has very thin transparent mycelium growth due to the lack of nutrients.

I used water agar for the first time recently and transfers a sector of similar quality, it is germinating on the new plate, albeit slowly.
Expect for the transfer to “gain momentum” so-to-speak as it is going to be very weak at first coming from an environment that lacked adequate nutrition

Looks perfect. Transfer from leading edge. I know that can be hard. Cant always see the myc when making the transfer especially if working im a SAB. Circle an area on the bottom of the plate with a black sharpie since myc will be near invisible. That way youll know where to cut.

A few drops of dark blue food colouring in the mix works well for contrast too.
I put all of my T1 or T2 transfers to water agar now. I haven't had to make (or deactivate...) tetracycline stock solutions in a while thanks to it. My favourite "new" thing.
