Do these look good? I am a little bit suspicious of the little black spots on the pan cyan Estero grain jars.
Would like to just get some fruit so I can clone them and hopefully get reliable genetics I inoculated each grain jar with a different agar plate that I made from spore print and various transfers until they were clean - I think

I have 0 experience with pans but if it were cubes I'd say they look a bit bacterial. Nothing that wont fruit though with a low to medium ratio though

Yeah, i also have little experience with pans. Its definitely harder to judge if they're clean. Last time I made 2 shoeboxes. One had trich and the other didn't fruit and got fungus gnats
I got some smaller circular aluminium containers like you usually get for roasted chicken takeaway or so with a tall plastic lid. Will make one little tub for each jar this time and hope for the best
Forgot to mention that I inoculated the grain on the 28.7

Not to hijack but what could cause that kind of bacterial contam? Too much moisture in his grain? I am asking because I had four jars that I went ahead and sent on Sunday that each had a spot that looked like that almost slimy moist looking spots between the jar and mycelium. Nothing as spread out as OP’s but one of them did leave tiny bubbles after I shook it to mix with my cvg, like there was just a little bit if something slimy going on. I thought they smelled ever so slightly sour too but my gf didn’t so I don’t know if it was just in my mind. So far I think my shoeboxes are looking good though. Appreciate any thought you might have to share and sorry OP for the hijack.

Bacteria isn't caused by excess moisture, its exacerbated by it.
Bacteria is from improper sterilization or technique

No problem. Happy if we can both learn something here

So you also believe it looks bacterial? if not due to the extra moisture between the grain and the jar, what gives it away as being bacterial? And do you think my grain was too wet? I thought it's normal for the water to collect a bit as seen here when the jar is fully colonised

Definitely bacterial. It's hard to know if your grain was too wet without pics pre colonization.

Ok, thanks for the quick feedback!
To be honest I'm still not sure though what indicates the bacterial infection in these jars
I will definitely still try to fruit them and hope for the best and in future I will do some brf pucks to try to have more chances of being free from bacteria

2 jars I took photos of last week or so.
Compare these to your jars.

You can see how much moisture you have in comparison

Ok, thanks for the graphic explanation. Appreciate it
Seeing as all of my jars are looking like that, could it also be that I'm simply prepping my grain too wet? Just wondering seeing as I'm about to prep the next load and would like to adjust in case that's my issue
I usually soak overnight, put them straight to the stove and boil for 10 minutes, strain and let it sit for an hour or so before loading up the jars.

Is that wheat or rye you're using?
Wheat I do a hard boil for 25- 30 minutes.

I've only been using rye until now with both cubes and these first attempts at pan cyans

Rye should be identical prep wise. I'd also suggest a hard boil until there's no white in the center of the grains, then dry the outside completely before loading up
