First timer

Hey all, new to cultivation. I got my hands on 3 mss, and dove into agar work instantly. B+(unsuccessful to get good mycelium on agar, yet.hope whole syringe is not bad) G.t (got some on second transfer looking decent.) And P.E (best looking agar I have yet also on second transfers.)
I was reading from another member whom said it can't hurt to throw some agar to grain just to get some fruits going while I continue to clean up the agar. and I like the idea.
The only decent looking agar I had was the p.e so I chose that to put to grains (brown rice) and used those grains once fully colonized to substrate.
Put to substrate 4 going on 5 days ago and I was going to just leave them as is unless i receive other advice. I took one photo but other than that the 6qt shoe boxes just have the lids on upside down. I have 4 total and they all look the same more or less.. in my noobie eyes everything looks to be okay? I guess I'm just a tiny concerned because I see a lot about p.e being a slow grower but mine seem to be doing great. Maybe lucky with genetics?

It looks good. I think it's too early to say how fast or slow it is. Save that judgement for when you have fruits.

here is a update. I just continued to keep the sides and top misted when the water evaporates.
I think primordia is showing. I read about a casing layer for PE I may try that in the future, however when I read lotkids PE tips I think it was too late to out the casing layer.
Hope everything is looking okay. All 4 boxes more or less look the same.

ive never had luck with pe no matter how i case or when. i hate pe. ive tried holding the jars for a week extra etc. p9 pseudocasing tek all that shit. you might get lucky but usually the first flush is blobby. most people think its for having too rich of a substrate in terms of nutrients. the second flush will be better.
youve done well. watch the surface conditions. tiny droplets is good, puddles bad. walls wet, bad. walls dewy, good.
best of luck friendo. youve done well.

hah I have a GT, B+ and PE MSS. B+ for me has been a dud completely, cannot get it to colonize on agar (no bad stuff growing either).
The GT i think is contaminated but i am still attempting to clean it up on agar (have not put to grain), I got both of those because i read they would be an ok choice for a first time cultivator.
Odlly enough the PE is keeping me in the game lol. my original plan was to save the PE for when i completed a couple flushes with the priors.
and thank you all for your input and advice!

Update - Blob City.
Considering this will be my first harvest I have some excitement even tho they look like a pita to harvest. I see some blobs forming on the sides too.
I'll be picking them as they stop growing.

Hey, great work! First timer here too. I should be harvesting my second flush of Lion's Mane next week or the week after. I have B+, Blue Meanie, Jedi Mind Fk and PE6 all at various stages. I have the Jedi MF and PE6 in Uncle Bens Tek and also in agar. I got them all as liquid culture, so they should be clean as. The B+ i have in a shoebox and the Blue meanie I am trying to fruit from the bag also in Uncle Bens Tek. I have the Blue Meanie and B+ also in CVG bags. As its still quite cold here in the southern end of Australia, its been a bit slower than expected unfortunately, but its getting there! Super excited for fruit to finally appear!
What my question is though, will the PE6 come out blobby as well in the first flush? still a few weeks away from spawning to bulk as the rice bags are about 60% colonized after the break and shake.
Cheers!

Pe6 is not penis envy so don't worry about blobs, it grows normally.
Just so you know, we have a user here called Pickle Rick

LOL, yeah I know. I tried using the name when I joined. So I'm the pickled version haha
Thanks for the information! I thought from the name, it was some form of PE morph. No matter, still looking forward to them eventually fruiting!

I have learned to embrace the blobs. I am going to put one of these normal looking fruits to agar but if blobs come my way I welcome them these were from the last fruit and I ended up tossing these blocks.
