 Brought a cow pattie back from the field

I went out to my field a few days ago after a few days of rain (it's still gonna rain for the next 5 days).All I found was two Pslocybe Cubensis and a few Copes. but throught the copes out (too weak in mu opinion).I brought a cow dung pattie back though and set it under a shrub in my yard and watered it just a little.It rained yesterday and today.Before placing it out I tapped a mushroom over it.Does anyone think it will fruit?

Don't the spores have to go through the stomach of the cow and come out with the poop for it to work? Its all up to chance though. Try misting it and putting saran wrap or something on it to raise the local humidity.

Tap the caps so more shrooms come back(tapping knocks lose the spores)
and then, the easy part, PICK

yup, hence the name flick n pick.
it's more of a courtesy to other shroom pickers in the area.
Where we used to go, it was a huge cowfield (at least 40 acres). On good days, you could see nothing but fruting patties (I wish I had a camera back then, 5 shroom posts for sure).
Anyways, if you were caught on the field not tapping the caps as you pick them by veteran pickers, you were VERY likely to get your ass beat, and worrying about the farmer with those salt-shells in his shotgun, angry cows, "wet spots" on the field, and barbed-wire was bad enough.
Now that I'm actually researching fungi, I am learning many things I used to hold as true, were infact false. I am not sure if the flick n pick method makes a difference, since I now consider myself a newbie to shrooms again.
I used to think it was all in the spores, and we would just throw all the stems away. Now I know a little better, but the fields are now golf courses / apartments.
