I think she will be convicted. Her story has too many holes. She claims that she bought them from an Asian food store. So if that were true, she could find the poisonous mushrooms at the same store and implicate them. But she hasn't produced evidence of this, at least as far as I know. So, it is clear she is lying.

She’s full of shit. Also, if hospitals could handle their job, no one would have died. I’ve been in the hospital for amatoxin poisoning, and they treat it like food poisoning.

What can the doctors do for it?

Update ...

Erin Patterson’s new life in jail revealed in Victoria’s maximum security prison
November 4, 2023 - news.com.au

The alleged mushroom killer’s life behind bars on remand among Victoria’s most evil women will be a far cry from the comfortable existence she is used to.

Alleged mushroom cook killer Erin Patterson’s life behind bars will be a far cry from the comfortable life she is used to on her sprawling Leongatha estate.

The 49-year-old mum, who is charged with multiple counts of murder and attempted murder, will be housed in one of Australia’s most infamous jails on remand as she awaits trial.

It is unlikely that she will get bail due to the seriousness of her charges.

Ms Patterson spent her first night behind bars in the Morwell station police cells on Thursday, but will soon call Victoria’s Dame Phyllis Frost Centre home, the state’s maximum security women’s prison.

Islamic State terrorist Momena Shoma, whose frenzied stabbing attack on a Melbourne homeowner saw her jailed there, will be a housemate.

As will serial killer Robyn Lindholm and gangland matriarch Judy Moran.

The prison houses up to 600 women and is named after welfare worker and philanthropist Dame Phylis Frost, who was well known for her commitment to unpopular causes.

Her life will be starkly different from what she is used to on her idyllic bush property in Victoria’s Gippspland region.

According to the Herald Sun Ms Patterson’s living conditions would be “really bad” and “horrendous”, with limits on her movement and activities.

Due to the seriousness of her charges she is unlikely to be allowed to mingle with the general prison population.

The prison has been a hotbed of scandal since it opened in 1996.

Most recently due to the death of Aboriginal woman Veronica Marie Nelson in 2020 whose 49 recorded pleas for help were ignored by prison officers.

She was found dead in her prison cell after begging for help while suffering malnutrition, opioid withdrawal and a gastrointestinal illness.

In October 2003 a male prison guard was accused of raping and impregnating a mentally ill prisoner.

Ms Patterson is likely to languish in the tough conditions for more than a year, with her next court appearance scheduled for May.

Legal experts predict the case will drag out due to its complexity and seriousness of the charges.

If she pleads not guilty, it could take up to two and a half years before it gets to trial in Victoria’s Supreme Court. A guilty plea could see it resolved more quickly.

Ms Patterson is accused of serving up a beef Wellington pie at her home that contained deadly death cap mushrooms which resulted in the deaths of three of her relatives.

She is also accused of making four attempts on her ex-husband’s life.

Her ex-husband Simon Patterson was expected to attend the lunch, hosted as part of a church mediation process for their relationship, but pulled out at the last minute.

His parents, Gail and Don Patterson, both 70, and aunt, Heather Wilkinson, 66, died in hospital days after the alleged poisoning.

Mrs Wilkinson’s husband, Ian, a 69-year-old Korumburra pastor spent seven weeks in hospital following the lunch in a critical condition — with Ms Patterson accused of his attempted murder.

On Friday she appeared briefly in the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court following her arrest and a raid of her home on Thursday.

In August, Ms Patterson claimed to reporters she was also admitted to hospital after the lunch with bad stomach pains.

In a statement to police she wrote: “I am now devastated to think that these mushrooms may have contributed to the illness suffered by my loved ones.

“I really want to repeat that I had absolutely no reason to hurt these people whom I loved.”

Ms Patterson has steadfastly denied responsibility for the deaths.

“I lost my parents-in-law, my children lost their grandparents,’’ she told The Australian on August 16.

“And I’ve been painted as an evil witch. And the media is making it impossible for me to live in this town. I can’t have friends over.”

The Dame Phyllis Frost Centre sounds like a horrible and dreadful prison. Perfect accommodations for the heartless murderer, Erin Patterson.

This is such an unusual case with many unanswered questions. I have believed her guilty from the beginning, and there is more than enough evidence for me, but maybe not for a court of law. You often hear the phrase; means, motive, and opportunity, in regards to murder cases. You can convict with just means and opportunity, but having a motive would make it easier to convince a jury.

That is one aspect that is missing from the articles and videos, the motive. Why was she so intent on killing her ex and ex in laws? This is important to know. Even with all of the evidence against her so far, if Ms Patterson keeps insisting her innocence and claims it was just a horrible accident, that could be enough reasonable doubt for her to go free.

Hopefully, between now and May, the cops can get more incriminating evidence from the electronics, computers, and hard drives taken from her home, and also from the survivor Ian Wilkinson.
