What if i do 24 jars then use one jar to collonize each bag? would this work or would there be a high risk of contam? should i use 2 jars per instead on one? I'll be using 1/2 pints

Sounds like a better idea. My only concern is the use of heavy quantities of grain that these bags support. It is very difficult to get the moisture content right with large volumes of grain. I use rye, Quart jars and lay these out and case. Bulk substrates are great if you can keep them clean, and at the right moisture content. Temperature is also a factor. If incubating large quantities in the same container the surrounding temperature must be lower than 80 degrees. The center is going to be at least five degrees hotter than the outside temperature. These bags are better suited for straw culture. If you are going to attempt. Use the healthiest looking jar of grain spawn to inoculate the bags of grain. A one to ten ratio at max. The higher the inoculation rate the quicker the growth rate. But you have to be sure that your original jar of spawn is absolutely clean of contaminants.
