Question about cars * 1
    #28354156 - 06/10/23 07:20 AM (7 months, 15 days ago)

If mace or pepper spray were to be sprayed into the front of an idling car, through the radiator, would in over take the air in the cabin?

What a stupid question.

Firstly why in the fuck would you want to know this?

Secondly what compelled you to think up such an idiotic idea?

Seriously tho, who are you trying to fuck up like that and why?

Yes.
There are air filters which will reduce it's efficacy, but yes.
(it'll also catch you an agg assault charge and or attempted vehicular manslaughter in most states)
-someone who has used lots of pepper spray

OP here, anon #5, your first two questions are basically the same question.  So that makes both or your questions stupid, in my opinion.

I'll tell you why I want to know.  I commute via bicycle every day, and at least once a week I experience aggression from drivers who could easily kill me and get away with it.  I live in a small city.  What I really want to do is pull the driver out of the car(usually TRUCK), and put a knife into their eyes.  I can legally carry a handgun, but I think that is just too much.  Just a bad idea all around.  I've had people block me into traffic with their diesel exhaust in my face because they think it's funny.

I've thought about spraying that mace through their window if it's open, I don't give a fuck, they won't find me.

Anon #6, I hear you.  It's probably not the best idea.

Calling my questions stupid and then providing a detailed answer suggests that you believe you are at least as stupid as I, and I can deal with that.

On point but maybe off topic is the fact that you believe that stabbing someone in the eyes is more humane than providing them with a gunshot wound; This is simply not true, the fact is that a stabbing someone is much more heinous than shooting them, for the fact that shooting them can be done from a safe distance without any personal contact, while stabbing someone necessitates up close and personal contact.

I would suggest that you seek out some type of therapy to help you deal with these feelings due to the fact that you will likely become more enraged as time goes on.

Due to the fact that you live in a small town where you make your commute you may likely see the same people and have the same experience and as you say that you believe these assholes are intentionally cutting you off and blocking you in it may just be a matter of time until you explode on someone and it could possibly happen in a way that you perceive a repeating and intentionally performed slight, but in reality it may not be a factual occurrence.

Perhaps investing in a camera to document your ride and any intentional torts that occur during your ride would be a better route than committing a pre meditated violent felony.

Check your local state laws and city ordnance; many states have passed legislation requiring motor vehicles to share the road with bicyclist.

If someone is violating state law and it harms you in any way you most certainly could prevail on a civil claim even if the state fails to remedy you with criminal prosecution.

Why must you be so resentful.  We need details.  I find myself in similar situations often, ann.

I would ignore comments about criminal prosecution.  Police don't care.

And if you're holding a grudge later on, you waited too long to do anything about it.

Here's some tips though.  Try a  defense strategy.better road rage item, and try a better

Pepper mace sucks for a weapon.  Carrying defense items is a good way to go to prison.  You want to disguise them as ordinary objects, since defending yourself is probably illegal.  For example I found a piece of a tire that blew up on the road as my road rage weapon.  One side of it still has sharp steel in it so nobody's snatching it, and it delivers a nice bitch smack so I pity the fool.

Be brave and never waste a minute to turn around and go hard and give the most violent beating possible to people that try to kill and rob vulnerable secluded bicyclers.  I've had many injuries and robberies and would like to see these type of predators get it.  And doing it the next day just makes you less believable and justifiable when you go to court, eventually, and you will if you ride a bike sooner or later imo.

Serious thought though I think you are going to lose ona bike with no getaway speed in these conflicts and hope you come up with a better route and avoid a road war esp if someone knows your route.

Another good tip is to tell people you are going the other way that you are actually going.  If they are the people that usually try to kill you, do something annoying that takes a few minutes for you and takes them a much longer time to undo. You want to keep them busy attacking their strategy to ruin your life, not them.

Use handheld radios as a cell phone alternative so that if there's ever an emergency, I don't have to worry about being tracked if an emergency happens.  Not all of your friends will be your friends anymore if you're caught fighting off road pirates and now a fugitive for it, so it is good to have an emergency place to stay too.

In urban situations, I often actually have the upper hand, as far as getaways go.  I can cut through alleys, go the wrong way in traffic, ride on the sidewalk, ect.  I'm in decent shape and I ride a lot.  I know the area well.  I've been tapping cars with my hand if they do something stupid.  No harder than when a cop taps the back of your car as they walk up to your door when they pull you over.  I have a u-shaped bike lock that I've used for self defense once.  I dipped before anyone could call the cops.  You're definitely right, if I don't do something in that very moment, it's too late.

Cops don’t tap your cap they leave their finger prints for proof of contact/evidence on your car smh

I've found that riding my bike to work 5 hours early so it's dark and calm and quiet makes those problems with people on the road nearly go away.  I pedal 80 miles daily and I just busted my ass real good from an idiot cutting me off, never fails.  Shit like this is such a buzzkill. I wish I could find a place in the woods to sleep that was a little safer from violent zombies that want my wallet to buy cocaine with.  Maybe you should go camping so you don't wind up losing it?

You should get some lights for the bike and orange clothes and all that.  We should start a bicycle gang.

I have lights.  I got stopped by the cops at dark once(5:30am) riding to work.  I just took my work uniform out of my backpack to show them I wasn't a crackhead riding a bike at night with a backpack.  I told them where I work, and they could drive past there and watch me work if they want lol!  I wear a helmet, which helps me look less like a crackhead(granted, my clothes don't usually help).

I be leaving' my fingerprints all over these cars in traffic.

(I'd rather be friends with some of the animals which come out at dusk, than a reckless driver.)

The engine breathes in, through the carburetor intake, and out, through the exhaust.

The air conditioner uses a compressor, comparable to the one used in your refrigerator.

Also, your premise is that the vehicle itself is a deadly weapon when the driver is still fully sighted and breathing comfortably.

Weird choice of words to put in someone's mouth, but no?

Yes, a vehicle is capable of killing people, but that's regardless of whether the driver can see or breath.  Like, what the fuck are you talking about?

Those are my own words.

The animal means no wrong in it's heart.

So, I place more value in it's companionship, than in the bad driver with murderous intentions.

The pepper spray would make him more dangerous, posing more of a threat to innocent life.

You are putting other people at risk, in the hypothetical situation.

It's not that I personally value the life of a hateful driver with murderous intentions.
