Found all of these today in a field in South Carolina. Over 6lbs before I started drying them.

SWEET ! were they all in the same field? how long did it take to gather them and how big was the field.. were they growing directly from manure or from the 'ground'

Found 90% of them along a tree line growing from manure and from the ground. Probably covered 10 acres out of 200. Took maybe an hour.

very nice. I see you did a good job of cutting them, not pulling them, from the ground; allowing the mycelium to produce more flushes. Kept them nice and clean too.

maybe a little spore covered mike... i saw one in there with what looked like black cap like it was burnt but it may have been dropped on by a larger mushroom.

yeah, windbreaks in pastures seem to provide great little microclimates for cubensis. they keep the humidity up somewhat during a longer portion of the day and they help to keep things in thier shade cool. ps. i can't wait till you can upload the first set of pict to the shroomery so everybody can see them.

just happened to be underneath some of the larger ones. It's amazing how many this field holds. I searched MAYBE 10% of the field and decided I had enough for the day. I also think there are a ton of cope cyans in this field as well so I'm going to go back out and get some, take some pictures and prints and hopefully have someone ID them for me.
