As an additive to Asante's post about that androgen, I'd like to suggest a potential herbal alternative for someone who might be daunted by taking a steroid directly, but who might want to access some of the benefits of increased testerone.

While the 'this supplement increases testosterone' thing is mostly a lie and gimmick, this supplement is one of a few exceptions. A study found it increased testosterone levels by 14.7% in recipients. But the main benefit seems to be after exercise; serum levels of testosterone raise much faster with ashwagandha. 

In my use of it, it seems to provide clean, stable energy throughout the day. But I find it best to rotate it and not to take it regularly. I take it, feel its effects, dose again if it's not enough, but then reach a point where it's plenty and I cycle off. I don't like to take it more than five days in a row. That's plenty to give a boost to my exercise.

Your mileage will vary though - some prefer to take it every day. I felt a bit off when I did that but it's just fine when I use it occasionally or rotate off.

I have no way of saying if this will influence my strength training - but I've taken ashwagandha the past two days coinciding with me just recently starting a strength training regimen. I'll have to see if I do better than I have in the past, though I couldn't say directly if this was responsible.

This herb is one of the few herbs thats actually good and does something beneficial.  Id love to grow it ill probably try next year
