Clearing address bar in IE?
    #2840499 - 06/29/04 03:49 PM (19 years, 9 months ago)

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but how the hell do you clear sites out of the list of recently visited?  I'm sharing a computer at work, so I can't clear all temp files & cookies - I just need to get mine out of there.  Already deleted today's history & all the files I could identify in the cookies & temp folders, but the damn sites are still in the address bar.

Thanks in advance, guys.

From the I.E. help....

To delete Autocomplete entries from the Address bar list

The AutoComplete feature saves previous entries you've made for Web addresses, forms, and passwords. To delete entries from the Address bar, you must clear your History folder. You cannot clear individual entries from the list of saved entries.

On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
Click the General tab.
Under History, click Clear History.

NOTE: you can turn autocomplete off there as well.

Thanks for the help, guys.  Looks like I'll have to delete the warehouse guy's history along with mine.  Oh well, I found a bunch of porn sites in his cookies, so he'd probably be glad to erase it anyway.
