HOLY MOLY! The spore load from oyster mushrooms is pretty ridiculous What's the best way to get this shit out of the exhaust fan? They really get stuck in there... Like mushroom cement.

Take it apart and clean it… soap and water should do the trick, at least that’s what I do. Let it dry COMPLETELY before even turning it on.
You can also harvest before the spores dump.

Yeah sometimes an earlier harvest just isn't on the table.
These big inline exhaust fans are a little too expensive to submerge in water... I was hoping someone might know a cleaning spray that would help soften up the spores deep in the fan, on the back side of the blades really. It's hard to get in there to scrub with anything other than a toothbrush

You won’t be submerging it in water. Are you having to harvest after a spore dump often? If so I’d consider a filter to prevent frequent cleaning of your equipment. Anyways, try using 90% iso alcohol, vinegar solution or degreaser. Then with a semi tough brush, scrape the bastards off. You can probably consider sandpaper wrapped around a small rod and brush it off after loosening it.

Keep it wet for about 10 minutes and they'll melt right off usually. All you need is water and maybe a bit of dish soap
Even fans that aren't water proof are fine to get wet as long as you get them dried fully before plugging back in
Filters are a terrible idea on exhaust. They'll be stopped up immediately. The only solution is to clean when it's time

I’ve always stuck with water and dish soap (DAWN FTW!!) and it’s given me excellent results. Can’t go wrong with dawn

I wouldn't say often, but maybe once a month something unfortunate happens and causes us to lose track of what's going on in our tent. Thanks for the info!
We were thinking about some sort filter for the exhaust... Like a scotch Brite pad or something
