The Chosen One nailed it that’s pretty much the method I run. I have been saving up my used Sunshine mix for a future venture into live soil. If you go into too big of pot they don’t seems as happy as going through the stages.
I have my first go at making some flower to smoke in my new 5x5, I threw in the rejects they went from cups, to 1/2 ga. squares pots, to 2-3ga. I flipped them 10 days ago

I left a few cuttings in the auto cloner guess I will call it my first time DWC. Just been dumping left over feed and ph’d water into it, I’m kinda amazed they aren’t looking worse.

Icon said: Are any of you guys electricians or know how to help me with this problem? I want to power a HLG quantum LED board with a battery.
The LED board, linked below, says Max current per board 3000mA @ 54VDC. [/url]
I have some experience with LED lightning electronics...
It is probably intended to be used with a 48vdc (commonly used voltage) power supply. 3000ma is 3a, so get a 5a-10a power supply. You generally don't want to run LEDs at their max current if you care about long term brightness. Overcurrent the LED is a good way to make them dim out fast. An LED ran at 50% rating may last forever, but they generally push them as hard as possible for max brightness and hope you don't complain about dim out in a couple years.
To come up with odd ball 54vdc they probably crunched the numbers on the LED beads datasheet and the current limiting resistors on the PCB absolute maximum.
https://www.amazon.com/MEAN-WELL-LRS-350-48-350-4W-Switchable/dp/B013EU4KNK/
I don't think a battery is feasible to power that light to grow cannabis. To keep the battery charged would be tough so you might as well just power the light directly.
Wouldn't a 5-10a power supply fry the 3a chips? That's why I need the converter to regulate the current. This project isn't for growing anything I just thought someone might know. Thanks for the help. I contacted HLG and they confirmed I was on the right track and sent this picture of them powering a board with a car battery at 700mA. https://www.instagram.com/p/BguAKUjDZPa/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA%3D%3D
I'll post a picture of my build when it's done. I've never ran LED's at their rated maximum so it should be brilliant.

I need some help with this somango.
There’s two fans on the bottom lookin crazy going yellow from the petiole outward, and then the top fans are slowly getting a weird color and some dead spots. For some reason the center of the canopy seems fine for now.
To have macro and micro problems it’s probably a ph issue right?

So weird how four out of five plants will do great with the same food and then one is just all over the place. Anything with big fluffy Sativa buds gives me problems. I don’t think I’ve ever had one go smoothly between the Lao, laoberry, a few of the double chocolate, and now this.

Man I had no idea they went this quick. Gorilla cookies was a fast auto and mimosa was normal right? Whatever the case it’s awesome.
The sherbreath is looking fast too. It’s been weird from day one, stayed small barely stretched and now it’s got real small buds but they’re looking super frosty.

Uh oh. I have been adding a pinch to each gallon. I know a lot of stuff has to be added in order, does it matter when I add the salt? Usually I add it first then the 3 bottles.

Nice buds.
Well all of my sprouts are above soil (beside one apple cider kush, but it's sprouted, just not above soil yet)
I'm excited to see all these grown up.

The 2 northern lights auto are in the 3gal pots.

It’s not much but I’m excited to finally be able to contribute something to this thread. My first time attempting a cannabis grow. Successful germinated 6 out of 8 seeds.

Happy to be here. Lol Chronic Ryder, northern lights, blue dream and cancer blaster. Seeds generously gifted to me by a few wonderful members here.
Just have a cheep little light at the moment. Still saving for a good light and filter. Have a nice little spot to set it up in the house. I figured if I go ahead and get them going it’ll put a fire under my ass to stop procrastinating and get my gear together.

Well done 6 out of 8. How did you germinate them?
I soak for 24hrs in water Then put into a paper towel for 24-48hrs. Then you can see what sprouts or don't. Then to the medium.
Glad your here making posts.

I did it exactly like that. Worked like a charm. I remember germinating seeds in paper towels as a kid. They taught us how to do it in school. Ohh the good old days.

Thanks! Cut Jasper. I love the way it grabs the orange of the hairs. None of those pics are edited either. Been lucky to catch the sun just right lately.
To answer your question..
Hell I don't know. I was just regurgitating.
With living medium it's usually controlled through compost and dolomitic lime, but I figured you were still doing coir/hydro so I went with salt based. It's been so long since I did any serious salts I'd hate to steer you wrong.. and hydro hates me lol.. but that is textbook magnesium def from what I see.

i did that for my first few batches but i switched to using a shot glass and water because my stoned ass forgot about the paper towels since they were out of site out of mind.
ive had 100% germination with the shot glass whereas some beans didnt pop in warm towels
dont skimp on the light. buy a good one. maybe even a bit too much for your space youll thank yourself later.
i also took the advice of not skimping on a fan/carbon filter. i bought the cloudline ac infinity with filter. its amazing how much they eliminate the smell. and they are really quiet.

I’m leaning towards a mars hydro fc4800 and possibly a filter set up from them as well. Been researching ac infinity also, looks to be a good product.
