Scratched steel table - benefit or a hazard?
    #28394069 - 07/13/23 04:15 AM (1 year, 6 months ago)

I'm being offered a steel table, but the surface isn't in the best shape. Polished steel is of course beneficial since it's easy to clean and doesn't have any pores in which germs can hide.

But the table I'm being offered isn't in the best shape. I'm wondering if a scratchy steel table is maybe not any better than just a normal table with a plastic table cloth? This would be intended for lab work.

Here's a picture of the table I'm being offered

If you don't like the condition of the tabletop, you can always polish it.

It looks like it's just dirty. That's how it looks when you wash stainless steel with a dirty rag.
