About to cultivate GT first time. Grain bag or jar?

We have received a monotub kit with grain bags and substrate. We have a spore syringe of GT from a reputable source. I thought we had all the information down but everything I have been reading on here says not to go with sterilized grain bags. Can and "should" I use my existing sterilized grain bag and use the jar method?

What you really should do it put allllllll that stuff on a shelf in the closet and lock the door
Go and get a dozen or so 1/2 pint widemouth mason jars, brown rice flour (or just brown rice and grind it into flour in a coffee grinder) and vermiculite.
Study the updated PF Tek and follow that to the T and you will be much happier.
While you are waiting for the jars to colonize, you can set up your water tub, get the stuff you need for agar, save a little of the spore solution and get some agar plates going but save a few to do some clones once the PF jars produce fruits.
You will be much happier in the long run doing this rather than most likely coming back here in a month asking for help about why the bag or jars don't look right. You might get lucky but there is a better chance you won't and waste 6 or so weeks and still won't have mushrooms.
Also, please remove the vendor names, we don't talk cult and vendors on this particular forum.
Cheers

Thank you for the advice. I removed any vendor names, apologies. I will look into using this method instead. I would much rather get the blunt advice from the pros so I don't have to waste time with a higher failure rate!

I'm far from a pro but I went down that path and was fortunately saved by people here before I did by doing pretty much exactly what I described. Hope we saved you too.

If you were able to get spores from a reputable source you are already in a way better starting position than myself.
Studying agar is going to be the best way to utilize those spores. Agar has been everyone's best friend since they started using it.
