Help with growbag
    #28391478 - 07/10/23 03:57 PM (1 year, 6 months ago)

Been growing the mycelium for about 10 weeks now

Mixed the bag up 3 1/2 weeks ago

Wondering if this bag is even good anymore bc it isn’t fully white? Should I just open it and see if it fruits?

It's always more difficult to tell with pics through the bag, but I know it can't really be helped lol.

Has the myc stopped growing?  If it hasn't grown for a while, it might help to do another mix.  Sometimes that will get things goin'.

What condition do the areas of myc seem to be in? Are they more fluffy or thick and tough?  Forgive the questions, just difficult to really tell through the bag.

I wouldn't want to spawn it given how uneven the growth is. I would suggest just top fruiting at this point.

In my limited experience, with a bag like that, I would leave it sealed until you see pins, and then open it up a bit for fresh air.

If you are unsure if it is fully colonized... Keep waiting. Waiting won't hurt much, but unsealing it too soon increases the chances of cooties.

Ahh to wait, not to wait… patience is a virtue. If I opened the bag now do you think it’s colonized enough to actually fruit or would it just risk contamination?

Also it seems as if the mycelium has come to a snail pace or At least for the impatient eye.

Okay, I opened the bag and I feel like I might have regretted not waiting as it is not fully covered in mycelium.

As you can see it has weird strands standing up and half covered in mycelium. Any opinion if it’ll still fruit or ?

Top fruit it since you already opened it. Add substrate and put it into fruiting conditions.
