Lactuca Serriola (Wild/Prickly Lettuce) first thoughts 1

I recently stumbled across a foraging channel on Youtube that started me down the journey of the 'Lactuca' family of homeopathic remedies.
After much research (and random searching) I managed to find a decent growth of (properly ID'd) lactuca serriola and I (loosely) processed it where it sat on my counter for a couple of months.
FFWD to yesterday when an old injury resurfaced and was actually made worse, leaving me immobile and in a significant amount of pain. So, no better time than now to try my new witches hooch, and I did.
Almost immediately, I felt a sense of relief. Not pain free by any stretch, but I was comfortable. (Which was my goal - comfortable) In seeing that I had also had a drink or two and a couple of dabs, I wasn't entirely convinced that my lactuca brew had much if anything to do with my relief so I went to bed eventually.
Upon waking up this morning, same ugly ass pain that makes concentrating on most anything BUT the discomfort was back and on full display. I decided to try my lacbrewca as my first option, and to my surprise - comfortable... Tolerable... Not screaming "pay attention to me asshole!" pain.
I can't say for certain that I am 100% behind this or if Mr. Placebo and the power of my thoughts are the culprit here, but I can say with certainty that I WILL be on the lookout for more lactuca variants and I will make this extract again.
Any other lactuca lovers in here care to share your experiences?

I've found Lactuca Virosa to be the most effective of the lettuce family. None are extremely potent. Mostly a mild sedative effect with some pain relief. I went through a few years of migraines at it definitely helped take the edge off. Coupled with Valerian and Hops in a tea was the best.. though like drinking tea made from dirty socks. Eventually, the migraines went away completely and I still wonder if it was the concoction. Those were my most anxious days back then though. Now a days I just don't give a shit.

Very easy to grow, grows almost everywhere yes, just make sure you got the true species. It may be mild, but yes it does something. Harvest the "amber droplets" that are dry on the flower buds before they bloom. Smoke with indirect flame. Direct flame will not work.
I did a post of it a while back: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26111131
Goodluck, have fun. Be safe.
