Growing p subs in mono tub with p sub live culture

Hi guys,
I’ve just bought a mono tub kit which includes both manure-based subatrait as well as a hardwood-based substrait.
I also got a p sub live culture.
Is there any reason I can’t just use the p sub live culture with the hardwood based substrait and it will be fine?
I’ve had a search on here and it seems the processes described for cultivating p subs is very different from what I have planned…?
Thanks all!

You'll have to replicate the seasonal changes to induce fruiting I would imagine, like cooling period then a warm period. Idk about subs, but the other wood lovers be like this, notoriously difficult in the past to get good flushes from what I gathered if it wasn't an outdoor patch. Also I've totally seen someone on here make a beautiful terrarium with subs out of an aquarium, so I think you'll have better results than with say ovoids or something.

Hey TempestDnB, is there anything else I can do with this p sub live culture, do you happen to know?
Ie if I can’t really use it in a mono tub? I just wonder what it’s purpose is.
Thanks again!

You would use it to inoculate spawn to then spread into a mulch patch, that's what I would do if I wanted to see a good flush.

Ok cool I will look into that, could be a good idea for a long term reward.
Thanks!
