I feel like getting stung was a regular experience when I was really young, like 5 years old or something, but havnt really been stung since
Maybe it just happened once or twice and it just stuck out to me cause i was young
I had a bee or a wasp flying by my face the other day, I tried to walk away but it followed me for 20 feet, I tookmy hat and swated out of the sky and it went away

A month or so ago I got stung by this gnarly looking red wasp that went halfway into the side of my middle finger and it caused this intense pain going up the knuckle halfway up my arm. It was wild.

Thanks!
Woke up at 4 today, had some coffee and did some stretching. Still getting upper back muscle soreness at work but it usually doesn't kick in until later in the day.
I keep on having almost no appetite until later in the day with this heat

Happy birthday man
When I used to have back issues at work it always helped to to do a few minutes of foam rolling (with proper technique) and light spinal mobility to loosen things up each morning. Longer term strengthening my core, hips and hamstrings along with my back has helped a bunch

Yeah that foam rolling looks like it would be good. I want to get one of those exercise balls too.
I think the biggest problem is that before this I was exercising other upper body muscles more but not doing much to strengthen my upper back. So working with 10 lb spawn bags with my arms extended in front of me is doing a number even though it's not very much weight at all.

I just got back from poutine fest, there was four or five chiptrucks, they all had different flavours except they all had plain aswell
I got a general tao chicken poutine, I was surprised it had 0 spice, was hardcore white peoples food, it was just like a hoison
I also got a nestea and a bakers dozen apple cinnamon mini doughnuts
Total cost came to $26 plus I put a toonie in the tip jar
There was a lemonade stand and a corndog stand and a cotton candy stand, but I didnt getany of that
But they made it easy for me monday morning with my metal detector, every single stand was lined up on the fence, I just need to sweep down in a straight line, maybe some loonies and toonies will get dropped, the stands are here till sunday night

Hey y'all!
Kid slept till 0630 this morning so that was nice!
Called the pool people this morning and they gave me a quote for a 18' above ground pool. 5800$ for a whole kit including taxes... not too bad! Thoughts?
Been finishing the tear down of the basement too. Kid has to move down stairs before we can get pregnant again!
The man that owned the house before me was renting it as group home thing. They had at least 10 people living in there so all the rooms are tiny and prison like!
Been tearing that shit slowly for like 2 years! Fixing as I go!

It's been awhile but thought I'd say hello! Working in the mid 90s, humid heat today. Try but still cant get anyone to go floating with- still. But planning on a tour de Delaware and maybe an overnight camp. Have all the supplies if anyone wants to share a brew, edibles seem safer, rapids are pretty mellow- Im intending a light dose experience. The ovoids are shriveled until fall and some would argue spring, but I need a sustainable river stone haul for an art project I've been on for the past few years. Will be going regardless but it is a great float.
Ey, psi- long time no chat. Happy belated! I only skimmed bit see you took your work to another level, inspiring as I continue to try and decode what I want to be doing. Congratulations of the plunge and it brings a smile to face to hear how positive its been.
Like others said, strengthening inactive muscles will be your friend. Can recall a similar exp, working for a stable in TX and hauling 50lb(?) bags of feed. When I came back to the area I was 15 lbs packed with muscle as result of sticking with, and sure enough it resolved the pain for most part. Hard labor like that is crushing but ever rewarding, seems like a lot of positive connections are being made, not to mention working with fungi! So I hope this year was a happy, and you were proud when celebrating. Wishing nothing but continued success in the year to come

Hey everyone.
Poutine fest sounds pretty good.
birdeatingspider the funny thing is I never actually grew mushrooms in all this time I was on the site until now, my cousin and I attempted a grow in high school that was unsuccessful and my interest in growing psychedelics shifted mostly to cacti not long after. I came back to the site around 2011 when I was getting into cactus grafting, and stuck around for the pub. I got a nice AA pressure cooker during the pandemic thinking I would get into canning or growing edibles but didn't get around to either. I let all the cacti freeze this winter due to depression but I want to get back into starting shit tons of peyote seeds and grafting the seedlings. At some point. Probably to Selinicereus.
I still have tree seeds I haven't started too.
I had also read a couple of Paul Stamets books back then and mentioned that in the cover letter and interview. So that possibly helped me get the job although I didn't get it initially, I was told they hired someone else and then they contacted me again a couple weeks later and asked if I was still interested and for references. I was crashing pretty hard in between though, thought they liked me in the interview and then when I didn't get hired I thought I must have been deluding myself about that.

That's what I admire so about this site. Everyone seems to have vastly unique stories as to how it was found, why they stayed once finding solid ground. And like the boards itself, how that time marks an evolution in what this place serves for us all, personally.
Think of how many times you've heard how shroomery saved a life in one way or another. The wealth of knowledge is unsurpassed, and the community (while it changes and fluctuates), is like none other. Despite what its primary function might be, there are always other services it can provide, oppurtunities to contribute and help another. So many patient doors waiting to be initially or reopened once it is time. It's blatantly obvious how sacred this place- and its fellow members, are to most of us. For me, it's why I miss while away, and notice my health improves when actively participating. A special nook in the net, indeed. Aye, mushy mood ha.
Will pass along some advice that was recently given, and that is remember to be patient with yourself. Everything will always be waiting and ready for you- nothing lasts, and nothing is lost

17 dollars for a goddamn glass of shitty wine at bluesfest(at which there are NO BLUES MUSICIANS) in Ottawa, gated security, can't bring anything in but sealed water, super ridiculously crowded and low on water stations during a heatwave. People were saying they were literally going through people's wallets and shit at security looking for 'contraband'.
Hard hard hard pass. Ottawa is a nice city but damn it does not do festivals well at all.

The festivals here, the town puts out this giant like trough, that has three human drinking fountains, and on the bottom a dog drinking bowl, we had it last month for the butter tart festival and they had it back out this weekend for poutine fest, and I expect it to be back out next month for ribfest
