Hello everyone, I'm new to shroon gathering and would appreciate some help Identifying some that i have found..

a. Habitat very fertile grassy area

b. Characteristics of the gills gilles are mostly white, but shortly after picking them, turned a light blueish / slightly green color.. ( 2 hours after cultivation )

c. Measurements of cap and stem. caps and stems vary in size as pictured

d. Characteristics of the stem.. Stems are hollow and turn slightly brown where they are broken..

e. Characteristics of the cap.. caps are mostly white, with brown centers and smooth..

f. Spore print color.. not sure how to determine the spore print color

g. Color that the mushroom bruises.. bruises appear tom be slightly brown in color

h. Scent of mushroom.. scent is sweet, almost fruity

Thanks in advance for any and all help with this id. I'm new to the cultivation end of all this, but trying to learn.

Thanks again.

Sorry about the quality of the pics.. If better ones are needed, I'll see what I can do.. Also, if more info is needed, I'll be happy to provide that too..! Thanks a million..!!!

I think you've got Chlorophyllum molybdites, a poisonous mushroom.
To verify, take a spore print by cutting the cap from the stem and laying on a sheet of white paper for a few hours. If it seems dry you can moisten it with just a few drops of water on the top of the cap. If the print is green, you have indeed found chlorophyllum molybdites (hence the name chloro=green, phyllum=gills).

Thanks for the help on that.. I really do appreciate it..!! I was pretty sure they weren't Active, but figured that it would be a good idea to learn as much as I could about the poisonous shrooms in my area as well as the active ones.. thanks so much..!!

P.S. Yidakiman, thanks for the link.. great write up on those shrooms..

I hate those cause the caps look like cubes(kinda) and I think I am seeing cubes on the side of the road.
